Here is the place to discuss characters that are created and played in the various roleplays on the forum. Of course there will be some ground rules, so let's get those out of the way first.

Rules

1. Only constructive discussion of characters is allowed. No tearing down another character.
2. The creator of the character must give the OK for their character to be talked about.
3. No talking about other people's characters without allowing your own character to be discussed.
4. Only current characters may be discussed. (Current meaning in an active RP)

Examples

Wrong

Tauryon is an idiot racist jerk.

Right

Tauryon is certainly a different kind of character. What are the motivations for his actions?

2. The creator of the character must give the OK for their character to be talked about.

Wrong

Let's talk about Avron's character even though she hasn't posted anything here.

Right

I'll PM Avron and see if she'll give us permission to discuss her character.

Wrong

Your character tends to godmod a little. Why is that?

I don't mind answering, but can we talk about your character as well?.

Everyone can talk about one of my characters whenever they want. I'm fine with a little bit of criticism and debate and I won't get butthurt about it.

Same here, anyone can speak about my characters as much as they wish. I welcome the chance to discuss them, and don't mind criticism.

Nice. I can say he's an idiot racist jerk if I want, since he's my character, but don't you talk smack about someone else's character.

I don't think Angeline is emotionless, or crazy for that matter. She seems fairly reasonable.

Well as much as I hate Aveline, I can say it is a nice change of pace from the lovable characters you have had. I like nice characters, but it is how much you hate the villain that decides how good the player is.

Alandier (RoF is still active as far as I know) and Tauryon are a couple of my favorites to play. Getting into that kind of mindset where something terrible is justified is a fun challenge.

Loveable? I thought most of mine were hated by everyone?

I'm still surprised that Angeline didn't decided to do some damage to her arm during the surgery.

Angeline believes that she must use her knowledge for good, she took the doctor's oath. Also they aren't hated, they are just too good if you understand what I mean. In my opinion they hold their composure too well in certain situations. That said this is coming from a guy who's characters tend to kill people when they flip out so I guess my opinion is not the best for this one.

I do have some characters that i'm ashamed of. Mainly Clara. I am expecting Aveline to be the second person to die in Rough Seas or to be the first to be left on an island. Am looking forward to seeing what you will do with the voodoo stuff.

One thing I've noticed about the two of your characters I have been keeping up with, Dovah, (these two being David and Aveline) is that they seem to repeat themselves a lot. just for example:

Why did Calypsis try to have sex with her clone? Would she have forced Septhuis to pleasure her if he was in the room at the time or would have not had the urge to?

She just needed someone - she had fully intended to be with Ormina that night and that changed, so who better than someone who knows your every desire and sweetspot as a substitute?
