From what I heard, it has always-on DRM. I'm skipping the Xbox this time, and embracing the PS4. I'm not supporting such a horrible DRM practice.

Why don't you wait until the announcement is over? Why pass judgement before anything is even said?

I don't support anything with always-on DRM, no matter what it is. And the fact that what he's saying would require a constant connection. I am watching the whole thing, but it's not looking good.

It was never confirmed or denied.

Pretty sure I saw a link on /r/Games that a high-up Microsoft employee said something along the lines of "always-on won't be a thing". I could be wrong, but I'm positive I saw that link.

They are announcing the console right now. Give it an hour and we'll know for sure. But I'm pretty sure they're not stupid enough to add an "always on" DRM.

The console itself is described as "always on", though.

Yeah, that did cross my mind as something that may have sparked the, "Always-on DRM" rumor. So it could have been someone jumping to conclusions...On numerous sites.

Like I said, I am watching the whole thing, so I'm giving it a chance.

I'm not going to get the new Xbox with Halo, the thing that drew me to Xbox in the first place, being in my opinion a massive disappointment. They'd want to be having some pretty [&@%!] awesome exclusive game releases to sway me.

At best I'll probably pick it up in a few years after it's lowered significantly in price. They'll be releasing games on the current gen of consoles for a while yet. No rush.

Just because he's pretty sure the chance he's giving is a futile effort doesn't mean that he's not giving a chance.

15 exclusive titles in the first year of release, 8 of which are new franchises. I've already started saving up.

Gotta say, Call of Duty Ghosts is the only one that I've seen that makes me want to play it.

Wait... An Xbox-exclusive Call of Duty?

I'm not big on racing/driving games, but hot damn, Forza 5 looked incredible. And I haven't had a new FIFA game in a few years, so 14 could definitely be worth it.

Ghosts did look pretty sick. They did great for adding customization.

No. The DLC will have timed exclusivity, and this was the world premiere of it.

Ghosts looked good because of the story. I've never really been into COD, or really any FPS's overall for MP, and never cared much about the COD campaigns. But I agree that this one looks worthwhile. And no Frosty, its not Xbox Exclusive.
