Nope. Whoever came to the fake one wouldn't come to the real one. Not worth finding out who cared about you just to lose them because of a stupid jerk stunt.

Truth and a half right there. But no, I wouldn't fake my own death. I know people care about me, and I know that without pulling crap like this.

I wouldn't do this or advice doing this. Sounds like a terrible thing to do to those that care about you. Even worse when you are the unfortunate person to be the only one at your funeral.

I already know no one would come to my funeral except to spit on my grave, so that sort of takes away the whole experimentation aspect.

If they cared about you before, they won't after you pull a stunt like that.

no i wouldnt, i know who doesnt care, and i dont know many people anyways. so it wouldnt be necessary or nice.

You got better things to worry about when you've died then who's sitting around paying respects

I don't really care about who comes to my funeral. Don't worry about what others think of you. Just be proud of who you are.

I don't think this question's really very good as it would take a very unhinged person to answer yes without any hint of joking. A better, if a little more long-winded, one would be "if you had to fake your death for some reason would you hang around to see who goes to your funeral?"

There's no way I would do something as mean as this.

I would do it, but I'd do it only if I planned on staying dead to them. If I did pull this kind of stunt, it would be because I couldn't live with with the people that cared anymore. I would eventually live out the rest of my days as someone else in another country or state and maybe start a family. I've always wondered what it would be like to live as someone else, to do the things that I would have never done and think the thoughts of another. Ya'know?

No, of course not. Do you realize how complicated and expensive it is to fake your own death? To say nothing of all the logistical problems you face "staying" dead?

Faking your own death should ONLY be done in extreme circumstances, like when trying to escape a clingy girlfriend or as part of some massive insurance fraud scheme. Doing something like that just to stroke your own ego is insane - especially when you can't do anything with the knowledge you gain, because if you tried to get in contact with your "real friends" (i.e. the ones who showed up to your funeral), they'd know you were a faker and would never speak to you again. Nothing kills a friendship faster than letting your friend know you caused him weeks of grief and trauma just so you could see what his reaction would be. Believe me, I tried that the first three times I faked my own death, and it was not pretty.

Nope, the act itself is pathetic, if you are so desperate to see who actually cares about you to do this thing; you probably will drive them off in due time from your habits.

This is the most selfish and terrible thing you could do... who the hell would do such a thing... I mean seriously, to jest all the people around you just to see if they would be at your funeral? No, go see a shrink. Funeral rule #1: The main character of a funeral must be dead.

I wouldn't do such a thing since I would consider such a thing lying, and I don't purposefully lie under any circumstance. It's against my moral code.
