UESP Forums

We all knew this day would come, but it doesn't make it any easier. Avron the S'wit is hanging up her coins. Avron has given copious amounts of blood, sweat and tears to the UESP Forums over the years, very literally I might add (weird things happen in the Mod Forum). She has given the forums leadership, devotion, and awesome pictures ever since she first turned pink back in March of 2011. But she's not leaving the forums, just her title and coins.

She is more than just a Moderator or Admin or Momma Bear or Mother Hen. I've come to be able to call her sister and friend. Thank you for everything you've done on and off the forums, sis.

Okay, so get to it! Well wishes, kind words. You know the drill! This is freaking Avron we're talking about here!

She might still be around, she might be starting to part. Even Argonanza comes back from time to time. Musicman rose pretty fast to achieve such ranks, I hope he stays around longer.

Well, that sucks. You were seriously one of the best people to get along with Avron, especially if we were disagreeing.

Good to know you'll finnally be free of the whole thing though.

I'll still be around, just after my real life priorities. Being a moderator/admin is hard, often thankless work, and sometimes you really need to step back and take a break in order to attend to the other things in your life. And so it goes, so it goes...

Ah, I see. So you've still dropped the coins for good though, right? Or will you eventually come back to reclaim your coins later on?

Your efforts will not be forgotten and you legacy here will be set in (digital) stone for the future generations of forum members to look upon and follow your example as a shining member of the forums. Hey, I'm sure that sounded silly and all, but seriously... Thanks! Tomorrow I'll probably thank that Musical Man for helping me out often.

It's definitely a change, but you can still be a modmin in spirit. Thanks for all you do, Avron! Like Ri'Zahr, though, I'm wondering if you'll keep running CotM.

I definitely plan to still run the CotM and help out with other areas of the site, so I will not be disappearing! This just coincided with me having to leave for travel, so I think people mistook it for me taking off...although I do plan to dedicate my new free time to important things in my life!

As for if I will ever return to the fold, I make no promises, and that would be up to the moderator team. There's really nothing to saying that someone who did a good job and wants to do a good job can't take a break and come back. The problem with the forum staff is that it's very hard to take a break and get away, because when you are green or pink or silver, you stand out as a go-to person, and sometimes you just have so very much to do that you don't get a chance to do anything fun or necessary. Everyone needs a break, especially when they take things too seriously or dedicate too much time, something I did - and felt guilty when I wasn't doing, which didn't feel right, because that's not what UESP is about. That, and it's going to be nice to let other people's visions and ideas come in, too!

Basically, I love you all as my dear friends and sure as heck ain't leaving, but I definitely needed to prioritize a few things and get a breather so I can have some fresh ideas. So I'm not disappearing and I'm not dead (yet). I also promise never to disappear and just spam the GD like Dark Lord Cam does on his returns.

PS - And thank you to everyone, especially the other moderators, for being understanding and finally letting me escape. <3
