Hello, I'm in mages guild and missed my chance to get thieves attention. How do I find their house?

From this site: To join, pick ten or more pockets successfully, or break into a store without an Open spell and wait for a letter.

Thanks, I received the letter and joined them though I did not intend to do so, because I have read somewhere that you can be in only one guild at a time. But I'm still mages apprentice so they didnt kick me after all. My game version is 2.13 (I think so). So can you actually be a member of several guilds? Mages are my first priority but I dont mind join others if that wont cause any consequences or bugs.
