Can the next elder scroll live up to skyrim's beauty?

Compared to cyrodil landscape I found skyrim much more beautiful. The snow, the mountains, the cold winds, the thundra, wooden houses and warm hearths, the dragons, the giants, general nord culture.

Will the next skyrim location live up to the beauty of skyrims landscape? Im not talking about graphics. But the scenery in skyrim.

The only thing that could match the awe skyrim created now is the deserts of hammerfell I think. Would love to see some red guard culture. The hot country will be contrast to skyrim so will be exciting to explore.

What do you guys think? which scenery do you think can match up to the snow covered mountains of skyrim?

I think this belongs in TES General as it's not about Skyrim.

The next ES will live up to Skyrim as Bethesda never fails to outdo the last game. That said, i've only played Oblivion and Skyrim, so i only have Cyrodiil and Skyrim to compare. If it's set in Valenwood, it would be even better then Skyrim due to Valenwood being the home to the Bosmers and Bosmers take good care of nature due to their religon. Untill the Thalmor got involved i suspect. If it's set on Alinor, i suspect it will be the most magical and mysterious setting in the main games.(not counting the first two as each province wasn't given that much detail).

I hope that it won't be a province that is home to man as we have had two games based in provinces that belongs to humans. I would love to see an Elven province get the spotlight. Or the beast provinces.

There ya go, Mr. No Legos.

Elsweyr would be a nice place to visit.

Yea but think about the ruins of Crystal tower, you know there will some kind of magic artifact there... Valenwood would be really cool as well.

I apologise...

Still like the idea of Summerset though.

I really think Summerset Isle would be the most beautiful, just from what we have been told about it.

Oh, definitely.

I'd be content with any of the provinces, but I would really like Black Marsh, Summerset, or Elsweyr. Perhaps High Rock, but we've been there (not like the last three games, certainly, though.)

Personally I'd rather see either Valenwood for the wandering cities and Bosmeri culture, or Black Marsh, for Argonian culture, and because I have a thing for swamps.

Considering how much the graphics have changed from lets say Oblivion to Skyrim...I suspect the next TES game will be even more beautiful. Although I will miss Skyrim's snowfields.

AFAIK there is some mention of an Ayleid settlement in Black Marsh too (in the extreme northwest, bordering Cyrodiil)? And weren't the Ayleids 'invited' to Valenwood after they got kicked out of Cyrodiil? So there'd probably be some Ayleid influence there as well?

Not large ruins. And most of the Alyeids stayed in Cyrodill.

Either way, they remain the heartland high elves...

This
I don't know if they would be bothered to make a moving city that migrates in the winter so if they did do a game in valenwood then they would probably make a natural disaster of some sort happen that destroyed it or something.
I also dont expect to see it moving in TES:O either :(

I think it can. The next ES will come out on next gen consoles, which are supposed to be 6 times the power of this generation. It will have high spec requirements on PC.

AFAIK it was said somewhere in Oblivion, or its related lore, that Falinesti(?) had recently stopped moving and was now fixed in one location?

^This, It doesn't currently move, that said it could start to move by the next game.

I think it's personal preference.

Others like myself aren't big fans of the cold, dragons, giants, or nord culture:p ( although I don't really like any of the races culture that much tbh)

I'm sure for most people it will be as pretty in the next one

Lucky you. I have never found the Thoyota Thundra in Skyrim.

But seriously, I don't quite understand how you can gush over Skyrim's rich and varied landscape, and then claim that a desert land would be even more spectacular. Just head up to Skyrim's northern snow wastes and imagine them in beige, and then imagine an entire map like that. Yes, deserts have a certain bleak beauty, but I don't think I'd enjoy an entire landscape of starkness.

I definetly don't find skyrim more beautiful than Cyrodiil. Some views in Cyrodiil make me smile when I see them. Granted, the caves are much better in skyrim. Those views are better than the Cyrodiil caves.

I'm more worried nothing will be able to top the great forest of cyrodiil. Those redwoods are the best landscape of any elder scrolls game for me.
