Issues with Wacom bamboo tablet

I have the 5th anniversary edition of oblivion, running on a PC. Windows 7.
The game runs absolutely fine with a normal mouse.

However, I have RSI in my right hand and would prefer to use my Wacom Bamboo tablet rather than the mouse.
The tablet works with almost every other game I have.

With Oblivion, it is super-sensitive. It appears to map the entire screen to the middle 5% of the tablet, making it unusable.

Anyone got any ideas?

Is your tablet set to mouse-mode or pen mode? Perhaps switching to the other mode will help.

I'd suggest going into the Wacom settings of your control panel and setting up specific settings for Oblivion

Thanks Skullclutter, great suggestion!

I normally use the pen in pen mode. If I change the settings to mouse mode before I open Oblivion, then it works! :-)
I can then change it back after I'm finished.
Never had to do that before; other programs just work.

I can't see any way of setting up specific settings for Oblivion in the control panel.
Do you know a way to do this or were you just speculating that it might be possible?

I have an old Intuos 3, and I've set up program-specific rules for Painter and Photoshop in the wacom settings panel, so it should be possible to set specific rules for "oblivion.exe" as well. I can write up a step-by-step on how I did it for my tablet but they'll probably have changed things with the newer tablets.

The user manual for the Bamboo is up on Wacom's website (post count not high enough to link it yet, sorry)

It may have instructions on how to do what I'm talking about with your tablet.
The section on "portion of tablet area" also sounds like it'd be relevant.
