im doing a quest the vitrous blood somehting like that and i will encounter vampires now i dont want to get infected so wats a quick way to kill them and whats their weakness

not sure about their weaknesses, but get a resist disease or cure disease potion/armor

They have a weakness to fire, if I remember correctly. Don't worry about getting infected. You have three days to cure yourself before you will turn into a vampire. Just visit a chapel altar, drink a cure disease potion or cast the appropriate spell.

Yeah, they have weakness to fire. And just carry a few cure disease, and as of toughness, they aren't that good. The virtuous blood quest was easy. So, don't fret.

They seem to die when I poke them with the pointy end of Umbra.

Vampires also have the annoying tendency to "chameleonize" when they suspect that there's someone there or if they've seen you. Carry some detect life potions or have some spells ready when they've seen you.

Just shoot a nice powerful spell at them thats what I do and they go down as soon as the spell hits them.

I vote fireball (weak fireball from the Mages Guild = pain), but if you're good at sneak, you can just sneak right up and slam them with whatever happens to be in your hand at the moment.

I like to do mine ninja-style (expert sneak), I sneak-run and simply swing my katana as I blitz past... poor suckers never knew what hit them.

Or enchant a bow with some fire damage- and even better, a weakness to fire... Oh, the possibilities...
