Have not heard of the problem before, but will look into it.
That was unnecessary language(no matter how you spell it), and quite rude!

I cannot seem to be able to edit anything on my profile either. Curious.

I have sent an e-mail to daveh and have gotten no reply yet. I looked at your profiles and couldn't find why this is only happening to some of you but not all of us. Will keep looking for a solution.

I've had some problems with other forums, cus I use the Opera web browser, but if I use IE, there's no problems at all.

could it be a problem with certain browsers, as it has been suggested? I am not sure what the problem is. I thought it might have something to do with the posting of links, but as all of you who have reported the problem are passed the posting point; that can't be it. I have been doing some searching on the internet for any hints, but still have found nothing. I have not heard back from daveh either, probably busy with the wiki itself.
Just a thought, but if you just put one word into your signature; that doesn't even work? The thought here being that if you try to put a link or something the system doesn't like, into your signature it comes back error. I know probably a very... long shot.
I will keep looking into it, and trying to find someone to help.
How about I try to put something in your signature and see if that works. Not something I'd do on my own w/o permission. Anyone willing to let me give it a try?

OK, you can try that if you think it helps...

Does it tell you what page and which line is producing the error?

Do you have a U/R/L, or something that might be mis-interpretted as a U/R/L, in your signature such as typing U/R/L without the forward slashes?

I'm guessing that is because you have been a registered member for more than seven days...

I don't have a signature... I wasn't able to edit it!

that must be the ticket. The requirement for posting links is also tied into your signature. Thanks for shedding some light on that lamaslany.

For info anything/./top_level_domain also seems to be affected.
Example:
* Microsoft/./NET
