Forum Update Re-Scheduled!

Hello all!
A new version of the software we use to power the forums has been released and we will be installing it a week from today. The forums will be down for the duration of the update, which should take less than an hour. We wanted to let you know ahead of time so you can prepare for the outage.
We will be updating at 4AM EST Monday - Find Out When That Is For You.

Just curious, what are a few (user noticeable) things that will change with the update?

You probably won't see any differences at all, to be honest. This is an incremental update (from 3.0.10 to 3.0.11), so most of the core remains the same. If you're curious you can read the
Comprehensive Changelog at the phpBB website.

IRC will remain unaffected. As long as you know how to get to the IRC page you should be fine, as it is not run by phpBB.

Right in the middle of what is my usual active period of the forums 8PM. I guess this is why I often find myself near-alone around the place, and why I was always alone on chat back in the day. More than glad about the update though, although from the documentation it will probably be more visible from the Admin perspective than from that of we users, plus I'm on holidays anyway!

Update has been re-scheduled. Check the OP for your local time (it's a little earlier than the previous time).
