This is so embarrassing.
Earlier today I saw the radio mast at the back of our house, which was installed last summer, and my brain interpreted it as the White-Gold Tower .
Come on - I can't be the only one whose brain got stuck in Oblivion rather than real life?

Well, I once spent too long playing Morrowind and walked outdoors and immediately looked up to check for Cliff Racers... FAIL!

You should see me when I see the shadow of a bird flying overhead. I get the dragon battle song in my head and my first thought is "Oh crap, better press R2."
Too much Skyrim for me.

There's this robed skeleton puppet I won from a halloween costume contest that I hung up in my room. It has no legs and its arms stretch out to the sides. Once I woke up in the middle of the night and went to get some water, and when I saw the puppet half shrouded in darkness, I immediately thought: "Ohh crap, the Wrath of Sithis!"

A similar thing happens to me constantly, but I am not embarrassed by it.

I think what you are thinking is dirtier than what I was thinking.
Because I actually see a local tower every day that happens to look like White-Gold Tower.

When I saw my pregnant sister and said "You move like a pregnant cow!" loudly..... She did not take it well.
And I now have yelled "For the emeperor!" out loud when I was fighting with my former stepbrother.

Once when driving down the highway, I saw what at 70 mph looked like a badly charred body on the side of the road. I immediately thought “Careful there is an Oblivion Gate around here.” Then a few hundred feet farther down the road, I saw another one. At that point I realized they were black trash bags the highway clean-up crew left for the garbage truck.
Whew, I was really watching for Spider Daedra. I hate those things.

When you make a thread about how much you play too much Oblivion.
And when you think certain Tom Cruise movies should have Dremora in them.

When you assume every sea creature is your foe and every rock, a mudcrab. I may or may not have written a biography of Tiber Septim for English...

When you go to the grocery store, see garlic, and think: "Hey, I need garlic for the vampirism cure quest. I should buy some!" And then, as you reach for it, you remember that this is real life, and you can't transfer real life garlic to Oblivion.
Also, when you can start to point out plants you never would've been able to name before, and then, when someone asks you how you know what plant it is, you blush a bit, and say: "Oblivion." On the bright side, that did make my mom a little less nervous about the amount of video games I was playing.

Lol!
Everytime I see someone break the law, I want to run up to them and say: STOP! YOU'VE VIOLATED THE LAW!
