So with new details about the game out and the trailer coming on Nov. 14th, who else is excited about this game? I personally can't wait, though I don't know if I like the way they are doing the story.

Not looking forward to it. Probably won't get it. There's nothing really new that can be done while also keeping the old GTA vibe intact (which Rockstar busted with GTA IV anyways), so I'll just go back and play San Andreas again when it comes out.

I'm pretty excited for it. I always play Rockstar games. Info wise, I read somewhere that there are three protagonists the player will alternate with and the map is larger than San Andreas, GTA IV, and Red Dead Redemption combined. But that may or may not be true. I think was from leaked info from GameInformer.

I prefer the more serious style of GTA 4. People who just like the style of the old ones can go play Saints Row. People who like both, play both. Shame with three protagonists there is no female one. Still looks awesome.

I'm really excited for this game. I like how bicycles are back. I think it's interesting how you can switch between the 3 protagonists.

I don't know if I like the idea of 3 characters.
I always seemed to get a bit attached to the protagonist in GTA. (Especially CJ. That guy was badass). So using 3... I think it will just make me care less about all of them.

I agree. I will probably pick my favorite and stay as him almost all of the time.

It could possibly add some unique relations to the game. The only thing i don't really think is too cool is that each character will have different skill sets. I would prefer to just be good at driving cars, shooting guns, and flying at the same time.
I'll probably play as Michael for the most part.

I like the styles of both the new and old GTAs, although the serious vibe of 4 was better in my opinion.

i can't wait, there's something about the GTA series that combines the afternoon sun beaming across the lazy city with humour and extreme violence that no one else quite matches

If it's going to take them 8 months to churn out the PC release for this game, could they at least spend a bit more time optimising it? Just Cause 2 had a great PC version, and that game was even bigger than this one will be. There's no excuse this time.
Anyway, I thought the best part of GTA4 was the free-roaming multiplayer. It should be even better this time around, so I'm excited. There aren't enough sandbox multiplayer games in the world.

GTAIV was a horrible port, indeed. I will probably get GTA V for the PS3 anyways, as I can't wait that long.

Sounds like Franklin is voiced by Young Maylay (the guy who voiced CJ)

No PC release date left. Here's to hopes that the video editor from GTA 4 returns, as well as some modding tools, if we're INCREDIBLY lucky.

I just know that this is going to be an amazing game. I've played every game in the series since GTA III and they keep getting better and better. Rockstar never disappoint.

Map larger than San Andreas, GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption combined? Ambitious [&@%!]. And they apparently took over 250,000 photos of locations and gathered census data on vehicles to make the game all the more California-esque.

On it's own, I think the game will be amazing, but I was really hoping this would be the second coming of San Andreas, which after catching up on all the latest news it clearly is not, so i'm a bit disappointed. One quote from the Dan Houser interview in particular really bothered me, "The five PS2 games are one universe, and this is the high definition universe, so they don't co-exist". What the hell. To me, that's like if Bethesda made oblivion and skyrim from the ground up, and everything from morrowind on backwards was disregarded as its own separate continuity. It's saying, hey fans of all the older gta games, those are all non canon for all future games in the series. That ticks me off.
