1.2 Patch Graphics Glitch

I don't know if this is the right section to ask about this, but after reading around, I couldn't find any other place to ask. I also couldn't find any mention of this problem elsewhere. I am new to these forums, so please bear with me.

Previously I had patch 1.1 final, when I updated to 1.2, I started having severe graphics glitches. Specifically, when my I am looking at a certain angle or perhaps a certain location and angle, The entire screen goes blank until I change my angle. If I have HDR on, the screen goes black, If I have bloom or standard lighting on, the screen goes light blue. a Location I could consistently replicate this glitch at was the catwalks in the skingrad courtyard while sneaking.
I have no Idea what is causing this except that I know it is from the 1.2 patch. I did a fresh install of Oblivion, and it worked, then when straight to 1.2, and the glitch started again. More than a solution, I was wondering if anyone else had seen this glitch.
NOTE: I do not yet have Shivering Isles, I have an AMD 64 X2 CPU, and a single 8800 GTX graphics card.

I've just installed the 1.2 patch and now all my enchanted melee weapons are bright white, even umbra!! My enchanted armour and bows are fine.

Also noticed some seriously wierd graphics especially on the ground, like big square patches completely different colours having closed an oblivion gate!!

Plus, when I charmed some NPCs, their eyes and their weapons on their backs went the same bright white.

Now, it is possible that some LOD mods have been affected by new patch.

Is the only way to uninstall completely uninstall everything and start again!

Update! :!: :!: :!:

Fixed the problem, caused by the use of a no-dvd crack oblivion.exe file. A bit naughty I know but the alternative is my 9y/o daughter taking it out and leaving it on the floor to get scratched so I have to go and spend £20 on a new one!! :x

Replacing original .exe fixed it

Anyway, all swords are back to normal, just a ring's been buggered up now. Got a ring of steel skin, resist normal weapons 11% has now become resist paralysis 20% :!: :!: :!:

Could be the "unlimited rings" mod I just installed

Even after doing a fresh install, with no mods, no cracks, no LOD mods, no nothing except the original files, I still have the same problem. I wouldn't be supriesed if its an issue with the graphics card driver. The 8800 series drivers still have some issues.

same

I've got a problem where every once in a while, one tile's worth of land won't load, so I'll for example see road, trees, etc, up ahead, and a patch of just... gray. I won't be able to see what's in this gray patch until I enter it. Is there any fix for that?

Could maybe be the graphics driver in your case also.
