The time is here,
You should have known,
The Prophecy of Alûn,
One, Two, Three, Four, Five,
And then a great fire,
to engulf the world.
He has arrived,
the Shame of Lokve,
He is here,
And we are dead.
There is no hope.
Except in one.
You should have known,

to engulf the world.
He has arrived,
the Shame of Lokve,

There is no hope.
Except in one.
Setting
A darkness has spread across the land. Long has the Mithraleenean Empire been gone, destroyed in a great fire that engulfed the world.
The races of men have scattered. Their ancient kingdoms gone. Only a few towns and villages survive; few and far between. On the shores of Inver Arag, splayed across the river, is Esgaragoth, the capital of the humans, ruled by the benevolent King Garrion.
The elves have retreated to their ancestral homeland of Gil-Galad, abandoning their homes. The Ael'nonuvah have fled from their forests and have made a great journey across the sea; the Essence Elves have lost their islands and have fled to Gil-Galad; and the Ugluh have travelled from the north. The X'azzeeri have disappeared from the world, as has their home. Only a few individuals remain.
The Khârg, always an isolationist race, have sealed their ancient halls of stone. No one is permitted to enter and no one can leave. The Vrokun know nothing of the outside world, having been stuck in their city for centuries. No word has left Kŭrz since the disaster.
Hope lies in people who know nothing of their destiny. They alone can save the world, they alone can defeat Him. The adventure starts in Esgaragoth, now marked by the forces of Garshak. A shadow has passed over the world... and it may never leave.

Spoiler:

Esgaragoth: Located beside Loch Arag, near where the Inver Esg and the Inver Arag meet, Esgaragoth is an ancient town. It was founded before the dawn of the First Empire and out-lived it. Its location on the river, on a vital trade route, meant that, while other towns, villages and cities were being affected terribly by the disaster, Esgaragoth was able to survive and prosper. Soon, it became a key location for the ailing races of men. It is the capital of the region of Arag, in the south of the Fjorrian peninsular. It is populated by around 3500 men and women.
The Long Hall of Sararag: The Long Hall of Sararag is the palace of the Kings of Arag. It was built by Sararag of Esgaragoth after he was proclaimed the first king of Esgaragoth.
Inver Arag: The Inver Arag is a long river that stretches from the south of Fjorr to Arctictas. It provides many towns and villages, such as Esgaragoth, with vital trade and fish.
Inver Esg: Although not as big as its cousin, Inver Arag, Inver Esg provides settlements on the coast of Fjorr with the trade needed desperately from capitals like Esgaragoth.
Dorrach: Dorrach is a small village located about thirty miles north of Esgaragoth. It is controlled by King Garrion. It has a small population of 500 people, most of them farmers.
Wainsright: Wainsright is a small fishing port situated on the Inver Arag, a few miles upriver from Esgaragoth. It is slightly larger than Dorrach, housing 700 people.
Wainsrest: Wainsrest is an inn in the northern parts of Arag. It supplies merchants and travellers with a place to rest and relax.
Fort Lookout: An old imperial garrison, Fort Lookout provides the kingdom of Arag with protection from bandits, raiders and the occasional goblin tribe.
The Old Watchtower: Staffed with a permanent group of ten guards, The Old Watchtower is to be found in the far south of Arag, on the route to Mithraleeth.
Arag: Not known for greatness before the collapse of the Mithraleenean Empire, Arag only rose to prominence through the rule of King Sararag, the first King of Esgaragoth. It is the commercial capital of the mainland and many boats filled with things for sale pass through its rivers every day.
Fjorr: Found in the north of Eusiac, Fjorr is a freezing land of ice and snow. In the southern regions, it is slightly cooler and filled with trees. There are also many mountains. Due to its distance from Mithraleen, it was largely unaffected by the disaster. Because of this, many kingdoms have sprouted up in Fjorr. Many parts of the country are rugged and wild. Goblins hide in caves and trolls are a great problem for villagers. Its population is roughly 50,000. Its main rulers are King Garrion, leader of Arag, King Harland of Ajjergoff, Queen Brulli of Bjorf and King Fiann of Fjerk.
Ajjergoff: Ajjergoff was once the capital of Fjorr, however it has been weakened like all of Eusiac, by war, by bandits, by goblins, by plague. It has still retained most of its power and is the most powerful civilisation in Fjorr and possibly mainland Eusiac.
Bjorf: Sharing the status as capital of Fjorr with Ajjergoff, Bjorf has managed to stay strong throughout its history and has not faltered even now. It rivals the power of Ajjergoff and its military is one of the greatest in the mainland.
Fjerk: The smallest of all the main nations of Fjorr, Fjerk has only clung onto life through allying itself with Ajjergoff and through control of a main river. Goblins are a large problem in the south of the land and they threaten to overwhelm the defences and attack the towns and villages.
Kroyhatheff: Kroyhatheff is situated to the east of Fjorr. At one time, it was owned by Fjorr, but it gained independence in a bloody war. As such, there has been much tension between the people of Fjorr and the people of Kroyhatheff with no empire to stop them from warring. Despite this, they have allied with each other against the Imperial Senate many times. Beasts are a far larger problem for Kroyhatheff than Fjorr. It is also much windier and much colder. It has a very small population of around 20,000. It is ruled by a collective of leaders known as the Kroy.
Dal'Scatha: Located many miles north of Fjorr, in the Kroy Sea, Dal'Scatha is an ancient land, shrouded in mystery. It is a fractured island, permanently surrounded by an impenetrable fog. It is said to be the graveyard of all dragons.
Kroy Sea: The Kroy Sea is a terrible, icy sea on the northern coast of Eusiac. It contains many tiny islands and glaciers. It has claimed the lives of many sailors.
Nargd'Hcthud: Surviving better than most other countries due to its fertile soil and hardy populace, Nargd'Hcthud is one of the strongest countries in Eusiac. It has a mixed landscape, varying from the tundras of Stjerkaj to the craggy highlands of central Nargdland and to the rolling grasslands of the lowlands. It has a relatively large population of 100,000. Nargd'Hcthud is divided into two kingdoms. They are Stjerkaj, which owns the north of Nargd'Hcthud to the border of the Dirich Mountains, and Dirich, which has the lowlands of Nargd'Hcthud under its control.
Stjerkaj: Owned by the tyrant Hjùrm Once-Elven, Sterkaj has slowly been advancing into the territories formerly owned by the Ugluh of Agluh Hghdal and the lands of Dirich. Its capital is Stjerkaj, located on the Gulf of Stjerkaj. It is one of the last naval bases in the north and one of the last in Eusiac, the others having fallen prey to pirates or other evils. Hjùrm has built his palace, the Halls of Shivering Stone, atop a rock overlooking the icy seas. Magic is banned in the country, for Hjùrm blames it from the disaster and the fall of the Mithraleenean Empire, but secretly, his court practices magic, the ban only being in place to spread fear.
The Halls of Shivering Stone: The Halls of Shivering Stone form one of the biggest castles in the known world. Built before the First Empire, they have served the people of Stjerkaj as a refuge, seat of power and tourist destination. The stone used in the construction of the halls were taken straight from the mountains near the Gulf of Stjerkaj.
The Gulf of Stjerkaj: The north-most sea in Eusiac, the Gulf of Stjerkaj is fierce, icy and windy. It has been the death of many ships. It is also known for its pirate activity as its many islands and inlets provide the perfect hidden bases for pirates to operate.
Dirich: Dirich is ruled by the beautiful Queen Imrith the Fair. It holds most of the main population centres of Nargd'Hcthud but its lands have been encroached on by the armies of Stjerkaj. The capital city, Dir, holds one of the last centres of magic in Eusiac.
Mithraleeth: Long gone is the power it used to have. The southern parts of Mithraleeth incinerated in the disaster that destroyed Mithraleen and most of its population. The Great Loch Clans of the south have been wiped out. Only Tiberius, Braeburn and Vettach remain and they have been weakened by famine and war. It has a population of about 70,000. Tiberius is ruled by Warlord Jular, Braeburn is controlled by Brideia (king) Mjuralla Brae and Vettach calls Vettachius Gramochel Vetall their leader.
Clan Tiberius: A military hub in the days of old, when the world was untouched by the glory of the Mithraleenean Empire, Clan Tiberius was a great military power in Mithraleeth, and is still one now. Under the command of Warlord Jular, it has seen many battles and expansion of borders into Vettach, an age long enemy.
Braeburn: Once regarded as the true power in Mithraleeth, the influence of Braeburn had begun to wane even before the First Empire had begun its advancement into Mithraleeth. After its destruction, Braeburn had to compete with an aggressive Tiberius and a desperate Vettach, however, under Brudeia Mjuralla Brae it has seen much strengthening.
Vettach: Vettach, once one of the greatest clans in Mithraleeth and indeed Eusiac, has fallen prey to the armies of Tiberius and the raids of bandits. Having lost all of its traditional allies to the disaster that shocked Eusiac many years ago, Vettach has had to deal with its threats alone and with a very small but dedicated force of soldiers.
Donton, Miraleen and Mithraleen: Donton, Miraleen and Mithraleen are gone. Within minutes, the entire landscape of these countries were scorched and burned. About 90% of the population was killed. In Mithraleen, only the Khârg of Khâzaduru have survived. Those that enter Mithraleen never return. Some say that a great evil now owns the land, no-one can truly know. Donton, once a shipping capital of the empire was damaged badly by the disaster and finished off by the great floods that followed. In Miraleen, the situation was even worse. The population centres of the coast were annihilated, forcing the population to travel inland. Then, Mênol Físros erupted, firing ash into the air and blocking out the sun for many parts of the country, causing havoc and widespread famine.
Gil-Galad and the Havessé Islands (The Elven Confederacy): In history, the Ael'uvah of Gil-Galad and the Menagi of the Havessé Islands have been close. The Fledging Hegemony was an empire made up of the two nations that joined together. Now, the islands have become the only home of the elves. A few decades after the explosion, the elves (the Ugluh, the Ael'nonuvah and expatriate Ael'uvah and Menagi) fled to Gil-Galad and the Havessé Islands in their droves, under the benevolent rule of Paramount King Almdír. Of course, there are a few that did not answer his call. They have been named the Mahíär, Those That Forgot, and number little over 1,000.
The Mahíär: Composed of those few Ael'nonuvah who did not answer the call of Almdír, the Mahíär live a nomadic life. They retain their ancient traditions, wandering their homes on the backs of the Ruvahequii, their mounts. At just over 1,000 individuals, they appear weak but everyone is strong and well-learned in the ways of sword craft, archery and magic. They have distanced themselves from most other organisations, especially the Elven Confederacy. They have close ties with Arag.
The Dwarven Kingdoms: Little is known about the Dwarven Kingdoms. The only knowledge comes from ancient tales, tales made when the land was still guarded by the legions of the Mithraleenean Empire. Khâzaduru has been silent for a very long time, and Khâ longer still. The mountain cities in the east of Eusiac have been gone from the world stage for hundreds of years. Some say that the sounds of hammering can be heard coming from the mountains, others say that it is the sounds of battle, a great underground war being fought. They have an isolationist policy. No one can leave; no one can enter.
The Imperial Senate: A weak mockery of the Mithraleenean Empire, the Imperial Senate has little real power. It is headed in Socra, one of the last Imperial-owned settlements in Eusiac. It is ruled by High Chancellor Ramocca. It has only 50,000 people under its control and a very weak military and navy. They maintain cordial relations with all main factions.
Socra: Socra is both an island and a city. The city is the capital of the Imperial Senate. It is defended by a small force of soldiers and a few squadrons of ships. It is the seat of power in the Senate. The Imperial Palace of Socra is located here.
The Imperial Palace of Socra: The Imperial Palace of Socra is the home of the Imperial Senate. It is a replica of the Imperial Palace of Crusada, which was destroyed in the disaster.
The Mithraleenean Empire: The greatest, longest and biggest empire ever seen on Cerceres, it is now destroyed, kept living only by The Imperial Senate of Socra. In its long history, it dominated most of Eusiac and many other parts of the world. It was suddenly and mysteriously destroyed by the disaster and the chaos which followed. The main population centres in Mithraleen, Miraleen and Donton were utterly vanquished and, left without a ruler, the generals began to fight amongst themselves. Independence movements which had been steamrolled over by the fearsome legions of the Empire were now free to attack the ailing Empire. Within a few decades, the Empire had been killed. Remnants of the Empire are mostly in the form of villages, towns and forts, many of which are crumbling and in ruins.
Cerceres: Cerceres is the world. It was made by Lokve and a collection of other gods. Everything that happens to mortals or mortals make happen happens here. It was sundered by the disaster, leaving only Eusiac.
Eusiac: Eusiac is thought to be the only remaining landmass on Cerceres. It is very fragile, having lost the southern areas to a disaster. It is unstable and filled with war and monsters.
Spoiler:
King Garrion: Ruler of the region of Arag, child of the line of Sararag, prominent ruler of Fjorr, King Garrion has a list of impressive titles. He is old for a man of this time of turbulence, almost fifty, an age essentially unheard of by men. He is a strong ruler. The seat of his power, the Long Hall of Sararag, is found in Esgaragoth. He is unmarried.
King Harland: Related to King Garrion, as well as all other rulers of Fjorr, via his mother's side, Harland is of noble blood. He represents Ajjergoff, the greatest nation in Fjorr. He is young for a leader, barely twenty. He has a wife and three children, two females and a baby boy.
Queen Brulli: Queen of Bjorf, Brulli is the first female ruler in Fjorr for three hundred years. Due to her gender and the strict traditions of Fjorr, her position has been met with some opposition. She is twenty-nine and recently had her first child with her husband.
King Fiann: King Fiann is of the Fía Seghl family, the traditional rulers of Fjorr. Despite his noble blood, he governs the weakest nation in Fjorr.
The Kroy: The Kroy are the rulers of Kroyhatheff. They are a weak, bureaucratic council of unelected leaders who only wish to advance their power and wealth. They convene once every decade to elect who will be crowned High King (or Queen) of Kroyhatheff, however the real power is still held by the Kroy.
Hjùrm the Once-Elven: Hjùrm is a brutal leader and rules with an iron fist. His law and will are enforced by his loyal soldiers, kidnapped and drilled from birth. He is waging many wars, side-by-side. He is known for banning magic in Stjerkaj. He is remarkably old, at the grand age of eighty. Nevertheless, he is surprisingly youthful and active, due to his elven blood. He has had only one wife. He has fathered many sons and daughters, some that may come back to bite him.
Queen Imrith the Fair: Queen Imrith goes by many titles. The Fair, The Beautiful and, more recently, The Mute. A few years after ascending to the throne, she was captured by the men of Stjerkaj when on a trip to a foreign country. She was locked in a Stjerkajian prison and visited many times by Hjùrm. She has never spoken since, not even to her rescuers or husband. She is thirty-three and is carrying a baby.
Warlord Jular: As his title suggests, Jular is a blood-thirsty opponent. He holds the most power in Mithraleeth. At the grand age of forty-eight, he has survived many coups, assassination attempts and wars. His most recent war has been against the dying Clan Vettach. He has a very large brood of twelve children.
Brideia Mjuralla Brae: One of the Brideias, the ancient leaders of Clan Braeburn, Mjuralla Brae has been noted for his weakness at both ruling and fighting. Crippled by polio at a young age, Mjuralla had to endure the scorn of other royal children. His physical disability helped him, however, when Clan Braeburn witnessed its first rebellion in centuries. Led by Mjuralla's uncle, the soldiers of the rebellion saw him as not much of a target and he was not slaughtered like the rest of the royal family. When his uncle died, Mjuralla was elected as ruler. He came to the throne when he was twenty, nineteen years ago.
Vettachius Gramochel Vettal: Although he is mentally and physically great, the Vettachius has had to overcome many obstacles, some that even he cannot overcome. He is opposed by Tiberius, foreign leaders and even his own nobles. His only ally is Mjuralla Brae, but he would easily bend to pressure from Tiberius. At the age of twenty-two, he is a young but strong leader.
Paramount King Almdír: Unlike most Ael'uvah, Almdír is a very humble and very modest elf. He believes in a Gil-Galad, open to all elves, regardless of skin colour or tradition. He is a stout believer of Lokve and one of the few religious people still left in Eusiac. He is eight-hundred and thirty-nine and was very young when the disaster happened. He was the son of Aareöé, the representative of Gil-Galad on the Imperial Senate. He is of mixed kinship, his mother being an Ael'uvah, his father being an Ael'nonuvah.
High Chancellor Ramocca: Born into a once-noble family of the Mithraleenean Empire, Ramocca is out-of-touch with the poor majority of Socra. He lives his life of wealth, contained within the Imperial Palace of Socra. He is a weak ruler and only rose to power through bribery and lies. He is fifty-nine years old.

Eusiac is filled with races. They are varied and differ greatly. The two main racial groups are the Khorgom and the Valído.
Spoiler:
The Valído
The Valído races are the most numerous. They share a common ancestry with the Valiö. There are two classifications. The Mannish races and the Valëo races.
Mannish
The Mannish races are separated from their Valëo cousins as they have less Essence in their body and live shorter lives.
Erius
Once the greatest and most powerful race in Eusiac, the Erius race was badly damaged when the seat of their power (the Mithraleenean Empire) was destroyed. Most of the Erius lived in Mithraleen, Donton, Miraleen and southern Mithraleeth, the areas most badly affected by the disaster. Some diaspora Erius live alongside the other Mannish races. They have no civilisations but many of the Fjorrian nations have Erius blood. Despite the fact that many of their people were killed, they are not uncommon.
They are the generic human race. They have an average height of about 5ft 7in. Brown hair is common but blond, red and black are not unheard of. Brown or blue eyes are most common, followed by green. Other eye colours are rarer. They are the most magically gifted Mannish race but still lag behind elves.
Hardeteels
Regarded as the strongest of the Valído races by many, the Hardeteels inhabit the northern regions of Eusiac. Due to this, they were largely unaffected by the disaster and have thrived. Many nations currently in Eusiac have significant Hardeteelean populations. They are often seen in Eusiac, however those in close proximity to elves are viewed with suspicion.
The Hardeteels are naturally tougher than the Erius and slightly more strong than the Nargds. They stand at an average height of 6ft. Like the Erius, brown hair is very common but in the more northerly regions, blond hair is seen more often. They have the smallest Essence count for the Mannish races, meaning that they are, on average, significantly less gifted at magic than most.
Nargds
Seen to be stupid to many, the Nargds have been most successful. They boast two strong civilisations and have the highest population. Like their Hardeteelean cousins, they were basically unharmed by the disaster that destroyed the Mithraleenean Empire. They are a common sight, even outside Nargd'Hcuthd.
The Nargds lie somewhat in between the Hardeteels and the Erius. They are strong but they are not as tough as the Hardeteels and are stronger than the Erius. The basic hair colours are red, black, brown and blond. They are slightly more magically inclined than the Hardeteels but have less Essence than the Erius.
Barabs
The homeland of the Barabs, Afrik, was suddenly ripped from the world, with much of the other landmasses, at the same time as the disaster. All Barabs on Eusiac are now ancient. They cannot age. They can be killed but time does not effect them. They are very uncommon. They have formed caravans in which they travel together.
They are dark skinned and dark eyed. They are similar to the Erius, more so than the Hardeteels and the Nargds. They are, on average, as magically skilled as the Erius.
Valëo
Ael'uvah
The Ael'uvah are natives of Gil-Galad, the ancestral homeland of the Valiö. They are widely regarded as snobbish and in the past they practised a policy of killing the specimens (their own people) that they found unworthy. They also killed many dwarves and humans, as well as the other elves that they viewed as “unclean”. Since the disaster, they have established themselves as a noble people and opened their doors to allow anyone in. They are a rare sight on mainland Eusiac and provoke suspicion.
The Ael'uvah are tall and proud. They stand at an average height of 7ft. They are generally blond, however some of their people have black hair. Unlike humans, who gain white hair through old age, some Ael'uvah are born with white hair. They have a very high Essence count and are known for being mages.
Ael'nonuvah
Extremely similar to the Ael'uvah, the Ael'nonuvah were once Ael'uvah that had supposedly heretical beliefs and were expelled from Gil-Galad many thousands of years before the formation of the First Empire. Many harbour grudges against the Ael'uvah but this didn't stop vast numbers of them fleeing to Gil-Galad. The Mahíär are totally composed of Ael'nonuvah.
They are slightly taller than the Ael'uvah, on average, and slightly stronger. They are more prone to being dark-haired. They have a slightly lower Essence count than the Ael'uvah.
Menagi
A cross between the Ael'uvah and the Ael'nonuvah, the Menagi are typically called half elves, despite the fact that they are actually true elves. They have a dislike of the Ael'uvah, a result of years of war against the two races. Despite this, they entered an alliance with the Ael'uvah, forming the Elven Confederacy.
The Menagi are known for being naturally beautiful. In many respects, they are similar to the Mannish races, being of the same height. They have unique tattoos that snake around their body. Every tattoo is unique and can be in any colour or pattern. Families will have similar markings. Their hair can be blond, black, red or brown. It can turn white due to old age. They are known for loving the “good stuff”. This has given them the reputation of being addicted to drink, gambling, drugs and sex. They have an average Essence count of 2500.
Essence Elves
The closest race to the now-extinct Valiö, the Essence Elves are an ancient peoples. They are quite similar to the Ael'uvah. The Faka'r Islands were suddenly transported from the world, leaving very few Essence Elves on Eusiac, with those that are being immune to ageing. Most of them reside in Gil-Galad.
They are the tallest Valëo race, standing at a height of roughly 7ft 4in. Blond, black and brown hair are all equally common and they are the only elven race to be able to have red hair. They are the most magical of the races, having the highest Essence count.
Ugluh
Also known as the Arctic Elves, the Ugluh fled from Agluh Hghdal after the disaster, heading to Gil-Galad. Very few remain on the mainland.
They have pale, light blue or even bluish-purple skin. They have only white or black hair. Their eyes are mostly black or red. They are short for elves, standing at an average height of 6ft 8in. They are resistant to extreme cold. They are quite magically gifted.
X'azzeeri
The rarest species currently on Eusiac, people predict that the X'azzeeri only number at 500 individuals. Like the Barabs and the Essence Elves, the X'azzeeri's home was taken from Cerceres after the disaster and they are immortal.
Unlike the other elves, the X'azzeeri are tough and compact. Some individuals can weigh almost a tonne. Their skin is black or red and ashy-looking. They generally have red eyes. Their hair colour is limited to black but many are born bald. They are immune to fire. They are terrible at magic in general but have an affinity for casting fire spells, which they can manipulate easily.
Khorom
Known to most as dwarves, the Khorom are the races made by Cthor and not Lokve. They are very small and tough. Only three races belong to this category but only two remain.
Khârg
The Khârg are the most common race of dwarf, however, they are rarely seen outside their mountain cities.
They stand at an average height of around four feet and have long bushy beards. Their hair can be golden, blond, black, brown, red, auburn, grey and white. Their eyes are usually black or grey. They are a rotund race. They cannot use magic but make up for it with their use of technology.
Vrôkun
Smaller than their Khârgi cousins, the Vrôkun are the smallest race in Eusiac. They are even rarer than the Khârg, being found only in the Dirich Mountains.
They stand at a height of roughly two feet, making them exceptionally small. They can have the same colour of hair and eyes as the Khârg. They have larger beards than their cousins, sometimes covering their face. They can use their own form of blood magic, which can only be cast by shamans skilled in such arts.
The Valído races are the most numerous. They share a common ancestry with the Valiö. There are two classifications. The Mannish races and the Valëo races.

Eusiac is a very dangerous place. Due to the chaos caused by the destruction of the Mithraleenean Empire, many beasts that had had their populations kept low by the skilled soldiers of the Empire suddenly found themselves being able to thrive.
Spoiler:
Trolls
The Trolls are ugly, tough brutes. They come in three varieties. The Vins, the Vans and Vids.
The Vins
The Vinish Trolls are the strongest and tallest trolls, standing at a height of around 20ft on average. They are also the stupidest and can easily be fooled. They are easily corrupted and have been used by the forces of evil many times.
The Vans
The Vanish trolls are in between the Vinish and Vidish trolls in terms of strength, stupidity and height. They are roughly 10ft tall. They are intelligent enough to make basic weapons and armour but that is the limit to their genius. They are the choice shocktroops of goblins.
The Vids
The Vidish trolls are the smartest but weakest trolls. They are relatively small for trolls, coming to about 7ft on average. Despite this, they are still physically impressive. They are the only troll type to be able to master any language that isn't limited to mindless grunts and wails. They have also made some mountain towns. Their armour is legendary for its strength, rivalled only by dwarven metal and elven armour of old.
Goblins
Regarded as pest by all, goblins aren't much of a threat on their own but in great numbers they can easily conquer and pillage towns. They live in caves and forests, only coming out to hunt at night. They will readily kill any unsuspecting traveller unlucky enough to cross paths with their caves. Nearly all existing goblins are Enacra goblins, corrupted by Helcêh near the start of the world. There are a few tribal goblins but they are rare. The tribal goblins have a basic knowledge of currency and are less likely to attack unprovoked.
Mequë (orks)
The mequë, or orks as they are commonly called, are among the most dangerous foes you can ever come across. They are fierce fighters and can easily slay a man. It is not uncommon for towns or even cities to be overrun by mequi hordes. They have ugly, flat faces and are typically bald. Their skin colour can range from brown to a sickly greeny-yellow. After creation, they pledged an allegiance to Helcêh and serve him willingly. They dislike goblins, especially tribal goblins, as they see them as pathetic beings who can't do anything important.
Dragons
Ancient, majestic beings, dragons have been around since the beginning of time. They are lesser gods, employed by Lokve to guard the skies of Cerceres, however they grew arrogant and greedy and disobeyed their master. They come in a range of sizes and colours, from tiny, green flutterers (as the smaller varieties are colloquially called) to huge, golden-scaled beasts that are bigger than houses. They are famous in literature. They have not been seen for many years as most have fled to the island of Dal'Scatha, an ancient burial ground for dragons. A few inhabit mountains, hiding in caves, preying on the odd goblin or traveller.
Wyverns
Similar to dragons, they were sent by Lokve to defeat the dragons who went against his wishes. They were beaten and were locked in a war with the dragons for many years. They can, in some cases, exist alongside dragons but mostly they are either enslaved or are in hiding.
Shischelkë
Giant, lumbering beasts inhabiting huge, underground caves, the Shichelkë are enemies to be feared. They are larger than even the Vinish trolls and stronger. They have black hearts for they have sold their souls to Helcêh. They have great, black wings which they use to carry out their rivalry with dragons and wyverns. They are sometimes employed by the forces of evil to carry out their bidding. Luckily, none of these abhorrent creations have been seen in millennia, not since before the First Empire of Mithraleen.

Magic is an ancient and very powerful force. However, years of neglect and misuse has caused it to be forgotten or shunned. Very few mages exist in the world and most of them are hermits, living a reclusive life, shielded from the rest of society.
Once, magic used to be accessible and available to most people but now it is rare. Only a select few people can use it. Spells are no longer the simple words or phrases they used to be. They are now long sentences, written in a language that not many can understand. Spells have their own weaknesses and strengths, however the magnitude and power of a spell is also decided by how much of the incantation is known. For the spells to continue to function, the incantation must be chanted for the duration. If it is interrupted, the spell will falter. The rest of the incantation can be learned through ancient books and tomes or through word of mouth.
