This thread is all about your most recent deaths in videogames. They can be from any platform or any game. Include the death and under it the name of the game it came from.

I'll start:

The second fleet had fallen to the Cravers leaving a direct path to my Homeworld. The first fleet was sent to the besieged star system as reinforcements but their hasty charge was swept aside by the Cravers superior weapons and the Homeword succumbed to their troops.

Endless Space

And one more:

I thought to take revenge on those nasty villagers who stole all my smoking deer meat which was laying around their sauna. That was my meat and I needed it to survive! I blindly raged on the nearest person who happened to be in the sauna with me and killed him with my spear. Upon exiting the building I was surrounded by a horde of villagers and promptly beat to death. I think the last blow was a kick from a child who I mortally wounded before blacking out.

Unreal World

Deus Ex Human Revolution:
I died about six times fighting a boss, until I realized that you were supposed to throw the posionous gas tanks at him.
Morrowind:
Some dumb Nord warrior on Solsthiem wanted me to be a human shield for him, and distract a draugr so he could get all the glory. The plan went wrong almost immediatly, with me dying in two hits.

I played DA:O, I don't think I need to say anymore. I also played ME3, I probably don't need to say more there either. I played the Force Unleashed, you get the picture... The martyr seems to be a common them.

That tends to be a problem with those kinds of games, but I can't count how many times I died on the final mission of ME3.

Yes, I hated that, my first time around, where I died so much, finally get there, and...boom, Deus Ex Machina that ending. And it was all for nothing.

Well Mr. Poot, I most recently died from a headshot playing SWAT in Halo:Reach Multiplayer.

In Saints Row 2 I was playing coop with a friend. He had a flamethrower. We were both running around, setting people on fire. Next thing you know I'm sprinting around on fire, naked, in the middle of the street. To top it off I got hit by an ambulance, which dealt the killing blow.

Derp53 hit me with a baseball bat and ran over me with a truck.... Purely recreational.

My mobile suit was blown to bits by an energy rifle

Saws, falling boxes and balls, water and electric floors.

Limbo.

I didn't throw a can in the trash.

Jumped into a pillar of light while replaying Half Life 2. Bad idea.

Dark souls.

I got a spear through the back while being burned alive by another player.

Oblivion.
Killed by a Clannfear during my first Oblivion gate.

listened to BTBAM's new album. died happily.

Tried to melee kill 4 Deathclaws at once, it didnt work out very well

Whirligig (Carousel) Anomaly in Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl

Damn hard to spot, draws you in then spins you at breakneck speed before forcefully exploding. You have a slim area between triggering it and being too close to escape. Miss that window - you die.

EDIT: I've lost count of how many times I've died by that anomaly's hand. Only other one that has killed me is the Vortex Anomaly. They however, are easier to spot and make distinctive noise... Whirligigs are silent until triggered, and by then it's usually too late.

Silly Skyrim death that involves me being at full health and Bethesda's awesome kill motions from the enemy!

I was brutally murdered by my own twin sister and Shadowmere.

battlefield 3, playing conquest in ziba tower, fighting at flag A, I was team killed by a jittery assault guy after shooting 2 enemies and blamming another guy with a lucky grenade

luckily he got me back up and all's well just in time for the end of the match

It was them campers...... god I hate campers

The trigger happy friendlies are almost as bad as the ones whom you have to babysit the entire game because they have no idea what they're doing.

yes, with friends like these lol

i usually apologise by PM if i team kill, or run a medic and get them up before they respawn (unless the firefight is still going on - nothing worse than being brought back so you can be instantly shot again)

i also died recently when i fell into a pit with creeper in minecraft, i actually reversed into it whilst trying to line a zombie up with my bow and arrow . Boom!
