Nah, I feel ya. The only reason there are masterpieces is because composers started to write down their music and make sure that it would be passed down. Now there's the internet.

Yes, Frosty, please educate me on the history of music
Music is still written down today. All of it except improvisational solos usually. Masterpieces, to me, are ones that survive past the death of the composer and are enjoyed decades or centuries later.

We can't say that the internet ruined master pieces because enough time has not passed yet, give it some time.

I've always been a sucker for instrumentals, they have always held more staying power to me; than a lyrical song has. For this one, I like the arrangement and accompaniment of the bass guitar and drums that go along with Eric Johnson.
It's harmonic bliss to my ears.
Now, if we want to go with my favorite band (Soundgarden); and what song I think would best define them.

Right as Soundgarden truly found their stride. Badmotorfinger was a great success for them, but Superunknown blew it all apart. I feel the odd atmosphere, the lyrics, the grit, and the person affect it has on me makes it their best. I am very curious if King Animal will change my mind when it releases in a month, though.
