What do you like most? I realise that people will and do like various and more than one or two sports, but I'm only looking for your favourite :)

I am aware of AFL/GAA fans but couldn't put more than 10 options :)

Not much of a sports fan like a bit of cricket, rugger and basketball can't stand soccer, golf or tennis. My favourite is pro-wrestling but technically its not a sport.

Cricket. Then rugby union, and.... that's about it.

I will watch league if I'm really bored, but don't like most "american" sports, I don't understand the rules completely, and they seem really repetitive. (eg american football and basketball)

My favorite sport is definitely football (a la soccer). But, I admit, I don't often get to go to a lot of games, so that sort of dampens it. Next to that is NFL (American football), because where I come from, it is embedded into your head as a necessary part of the culture. We have songs on the local radio, football competitions in schools, Steelers Days where the players come to your school and you get to wear team colors, competitions and themes at local bars, and so on and so forth. That particular region of the country is where a lot of NFL-related stuff, including coaches, is born, so we're all into it, and pretty hardcore!

I am a huge soccer/football fan. I watch almost all matches that are on TV and I regularly look for livestreams on the internet if it's not on the TV. I've been a Club Bruges fan since birth and I support Bayern Munich as well. However, I can't attend games much, as their stadions are pretty far away.

And I'm super excited for the new FIFA releasing in two days.

My favourite sport to play would be soccer/football. But to watch my favourite sport would be hurling.

Best sport in the world :) I had to weigh up the likelyhood of how many Irish people are on the forums in comparison to other nationalities and thus choose the list that way :(

Competitive Starcraft 2. The dominance of meatbags hurling balls around fields/courts will soon be over, mark my words.

That said, tennis is my fav meatbag sport. I was on the Djokovic bandwagon before he started winning majors.

This thread is culturally biased. I'm pretty sure that's against the rules.

Baseball, softball, rounders, kickball, stoopball. Whatever you may call it.

Anyone who thinks they can rile up a baseball fan by denouncing it as a children's game— truly has no idea what a baseball fan is at heart.

Then again, I've never heard anyone getting to "third down" on a date...

How so?

'Rugby Union' and 'Rugby League'?

What is that, exactly? Smells like 'American League' versus 'National League', or 'Northern Conference' between 'Southern Conference'.

Why carry two institutions of the same exact sport when you could shoe-horn a childrens' game into the poll?

Because the rules in Union and League are actually significantly different.

I'd say cricket is my favourite sport, but it's not that far above football (not Yank Football) and Rugby League.

they are not the exact same sport. if they were then they wouldn't be called Union and League :) Union fields 15 players per team and isnt [&@%!] where as league fields 13 players per team and is [&@%!] :)

League is seen as a more commercialised and faster sport where kicking is seen as very important. Union is more methodical and tactically competent and relies more on hand work and try soring.("try" being the term of scoring) Look up the various wiki pages for more info or failing that, if you are actually interested you can look up the offical webpages also. :)

Annnd if I were being "culturally bias" as accused above I would have had a poll consisting of "Hurling, gaelic Football, handball, Road Bowling and greyhound racing." because THAT is my culture. (I'm Irish obviously) I have included commonwealth sports(cricket, both rugbys, Assocciation football) and North american sports(NBA,NHL,NFL) I am aware that there are asians, Middle eastern folk also on the forums but I don't have the knowledge of their respective sports. If there was the option I would have put more sports in the poll, but there wasn't, so I didn't. ok? :D

I voted for football, you know, the game were you use your feet 95% of the time (with the ball),don't have sissy helmets and have to shot the ball through a 7,32 x 2,44 goal guarded by a goalkeeper.
