UESP Stormcloak Faction

This is an idea I got from over in the Morrowind section and have being thinking about making for a while. Hopefully the idea sticks and people will like it and continue to post in this thread, if any filthy Imperials or Thalmor want to start a similar thread then by all means do so.

Here you can discuss anything and everything you love about the Stormcloaks! Post screenshots, short stories/adventures, ask questions, start discussions or just generally babble on about how much you hate the Empire.

The civil war was one of my favourite stories in Skyrim and I know I'm not the only full-blooded Stormcloak out here, hopefully this will get the rest of you out the wood work and showing your true colours.

If you want to join this fan-thread just request membership below, there will also be an optional survey if you want to take it just copy and paste then answer the questions.

Because unlike the Empire they show loyalty to Talos and Man
2. Who is your favourite (in-game) Stormcloak or Stormcloak supporter?
Besides me, Ulfric Stormcloak, of course. Next would be the one in Sovngarde.
3. What do you make/think of the Markarth Incident?
The Empire lied to it's Legion and it's gods, it makes no since to me. Either you are with your people or you are not.
4. What are your feelings towards the White-Gold Concordat and ultimately the surrender of the Empire that ended the great war?
I believe it was a waste. The Empire could have prevailed if they had continued the offensive. I want to ask Titus Mede II how Thalmor boots taste.
5. Do you hate elves/outsiders?
I hate only those who do not appreciate what all the gods do for them. I hate those who hate loyalty. And most of all I hate those who can not bleed for those that they asks to bleed for them.
6. Is there anything special you do when playing a Stormcloak character (roleplaying-wise)?
I see a Talos shrine, I pray to it. Not for shouts but to Talos. I wear an Amuler of Talos at all times. And to top it all off, guess which general had an "unrelenting" death.
7. What is your favourite Stormcloak related quote?
"We're fighting because Skyrim needs heroes, and there's no one else but us!"
8. Do you think an independent Skyrim under Ulfric would be stronger than one united with the Empire?
I think any state with the Empire's resources would be strong, we don't need the Empire, and the Thalmor will fear the day when the Sons of Skyrim sing their doom and write it with Nordic Steel.
9. Have you ever completed the Imperial side of the civil war?
Yes, and all I received was pay for everyone who died. And Ulfric's death was poetic, but unjust. Of course I shouted him to death too. But I have only done it once and have always regretted it. I still felt Elder Scrolls I-IV nostalgia.
10. If you talked to Torygg in Sovngarde during the quest "Sovngarde" what did you make of his words and how it related to Ulfric?
He didn't exactly tell me why Ulfric honor was stained. I assumed his was too stained from all the Colovian Brandy I'm sure he and his wife were drinking in Thalmor goblets. His honor was so stained, he probably thought it was supposed to look like that.

The empire in Oblivion was a lot better than mede dynasty, I lost all faith in the empire after they signed off on a treaty that turned them into the thalmor's apparent whipping boys

The empire tried to behead me and sold themselves to the thalmor to preserve their claim to power at the cost of their loyal province.

My favorite stormcloak supporter is Sorly the Builder, he's reliable and practical.

The empire betrayed Skyrim by signing the WGC but the level brutality used against the forsworn was unnecessary and ended in only tragedy.

The WGC is complete [&@%!] and the empire made themselves out to be weaklings for signing it.

I don't hate outsiders and I only bear a general disdain towards altmer. I take a person's character into consideration before liking or disliking them.
6. Is there anything special you do when playing a Stormcloak character (roleplaying-wise)?
I slaughter haughty imperial soldiers with brutality while making a fellow nord's death swift and merciful.
7. What is your favourite Stormcloak related quote?
"DEATH TO THE EMPIRE!"
8. Do you think an independent Skyrim under Ulfric would be stronger than one united with the Empire?
Yes, the empire is a shamble of what it used to be and it's time to cast off their limiting influence and prosper.
9. Have you ever completed the Imperial side of the civil war?
Yes, I had to see how both sides of the war ended.
10. If you talked to Torygg in Sovngarde during the quest "Sovngarde" what did you make of his words and how it related to Ulfric? Torygg was weak and I only gave him a passing glance on my way to kill Alduin, he was only interested in entertaining Elisif and never ruled Skyrim properly.

I loved it when Elisif so readily kissed Ulfric's boots, just like the Empire she put so much faith in.

Br3admax, I will answer the survey now, didn't do it before since I didn't want to double post xD

1. Why did you choose to side with the Stormcloaks?
It was the correct moral choice to make, and the Empire is no longer the Septim Empire or Talos.

2. Who is your favourite (in-game) Stormcloak or Stormcloak supporter?
Many great Stormcloaks in Skyrim, but Ulfric takes the cake, the man is a living legend and not afraid to stand up for his values.

3. What do you make/think of the Markarth Incident?
There was very little evidence except for what was recorded by a clearly biased Imperial scholar who is also a forsworn sympathizer. The whole event was clearly propaganda to weaken Ulfric's cause when he clearly has the right of it.

4. What are your feelings towards the White-Gold Concordat and ultimately the surrender of the Empire that ended the great war?
The empire sold out its values and its Gods to stay in power and betrayed everyone who fought and died for them in the war. There is enough evidence to suggest that had the fighting continued they could have won outright and the shameful act of signing the concordat was done out of greed and lust for power.

5. Do you hate elves/outsiders?
Not all outsiders, but ones that have no morals and no love for Gods like Talos. Also the elves (High Elves) don't make a good case for me to like them at all.

6. Is there anything special you do when playing a Stormcloak character (roleplaying-wise)?
I usually wear the Stormcloak sets of armour even late in the game when dragon-scale is available just to make sure everyone knows what's going on and that I'm with the Stormcloaks. I also like to place amulets of Talos on dead Thalmor agents as a final sign of disrespect.

7. What is your favourite Stormcloak related quote?
"The Aldmeri Dominion may have defeated the Empire, but it has not defeated Skyrim!"

8. Do you think an independent Skyrim under Ulfric would be stronger than one united with the Empire?
Yes I think the Empire is weak and dis-functional, only one straw away from collapse. An independent Skyrim under the leadership of a brilliant military mind like Ulfric would be able to defend itself from outsiders and eventually take the fight to the Elves.

9. Have you ever completed the Imperial side of the civil war?
No, I joined on one character but halfway through "The Jagged Crown" I deleted that save file out of shame.

10. If you talked to Torygg in Sovngarde during the quest "Sovngarde" what did you make of his words and how it related to Ulfric?
I was always saddened to know that Torygg respected Ulfric and I wish he would have decided to fight the Empire with Ulfric instead. Although his final words where about his bride he did not have the same love of country that Ulfric has.

Nice. I loved it when Elisif so readily kissed Ulfric's boots, just like the Empire she put so much faith in.

Elisif is the equivalent of a broad by TES standards, no leadership skills and nicer looks than a voice and mental skills, Falk Firebeard and General Tullius are the ones running the imperial side of the civil war. Though the best part was when Siddgeir had the nerve to call me a wretch after I killed a dragon that almost killed half of Falkreath and then told me people like Ulfric who actually make some kind of noticeable impression are rabble rousers who don't know the cost of freedom from the empire

That's not really the point of this thread, we're really talking about personal Stormcloak achievements, and I'm not racist.

Some of these faults I'm 100% convinced are pepole looking to much in to it, I DONT think Ulfric is a raccist, nor do I think stormclocks as a whole are, sure there are many that are, but the same can be said about almost any group.

For a number of reasons. Firstly, because I felt they looked cool. I liked the guerilla-warrior appearance they had. I liked the look of their armour and their weapons. Secondly, when joining them, I felt that Ulfric spoke the truth in some regards.

Hmm... I've not played Skyrim in a while so I'll just say Ulfric but Galmar is quite cool.

I'll answer that once I have formed an opinion.

I felt that the Empire should have went on. It would be a slugging match but I feel that they would have been successful instead of losing more provinces.

No. I feel that Skyrim is for those who have Skyrim's best interests at heart. Being an elf does not exclude you from this category.

6. Is there anything special you do when playing a Stormcloak character (roleplaying-wise)?

I always wear my Stormcloak armour when on-duty. I actively ambush Imperials and free Stormcloak's. I pray at teh altar of Talos. I listen to the truthspeaker in Whiterun.

I forget the exact quote but I like what Ulfric says at the end of the questline.

No. My reasons for joining the Stormcloaks are that I feel that the Empire needs a kick up the arse so that it can get its priorities in check.

Yes, when I RP as an Imperial Soldier.

It was quite brave. How he faced Ulfric. The man was brave for his country. A true nord. However, Ulfric did challenge Torygg under Skyrim law. What Ulfric did was legal.

No diffreint then Americains wanted America ran by America (As you can see in TES country IS race, as in each country is ran by its own race.)

Other than kill every legionairre I see, not much.

Any of Ulfric's speeches or what Ralof tells you in the escape(if you are not a nord) about how you dont have to be a nord to fight for skyrim's freedom

Yes. Just look at Hammerfell. They defeated the thalmor without the empire. Who says Skyrim cant do it to?

No, it just doesnt feel right.

He seemed like a whiner-baby that cared more for his queen than his country.
Every character I make joins the Stormcloaks now, no matter the race, it just feels right.
