hey guys
i made 2 characters not too long ago and made one with heavy armor and the other with light. i was wondering which one is better. i am asking this because light armor is lighter, but heavy armor is stronger. light armor has a +50% armor bonus at master and takes less exp. points to get there than heavy armor. but heavy armor u can get to max armor rating (85) faster than light armor.

Well at Master both are weightless anyhow, so the weight is only a prob while training.
I tend to have my chars use both and become Masters in both. Then by the time they're that well trained, I hardly bother with Armour as I pref the clothes. Far bigger selection with the clothes, and the Armour just tends to look too chunky and cumbersome.
Overall I tend to err on the side of Heavy though, prob cause it's v. handy early on for getting Endurance maxed out asap.

Honestly there both exactly the same, or close anyway. With expert in armorer you can get glass to have the same value as deadric. The only real nice thing about heavy is that is doesnt deteriorate as fast as light, but if you repair after every battle then it really doesnt matter. You can run the same in both armor at master. SO all in all my vote went with light but you can go with heavy just as easily.

As mandangalow said: it's basically the same once you are a master. Both are weightless then and offer the same kind of protection. I'd still go with heavy armor, though, because I think daedric armor is the best looking armor in the game.

I go light armor: it has better enchanted armor (Morag Tong armor ftw)

You have to kill the Morag Tong assassin, who is imprisoned somewhere in Sundercliff Watch. This will only be available to you, if you install the official "Mehrunes Razor" plugin.

well actually u get light armor weightless at expert, but heavy at master.
u also get +50% shield when wearing full light armor

yah, with the 50% bonus AND the boost in the armor rating from armor it becomes as good as deadric. Left that part out sry.

I like the way light armor looks over heavy and I guess that's a deciding factor(as stupid as it is), and btw, the Skyrim Bandit gloves (ones with the spikes coming out of the knuckles, that also give a + to Hand to Hand) are the best looking gloves in the game imo, unless of course there is a black pair(the skyrim light armor set is pure white), if there is, someone tell me please.
