Does anyone else have any more to add to this complex idea? And do you like it? Personally, I find it very odd, and weird how you could so easily explain you playing TES games very noobishly, using exploits and things like that to get through the game. Do you think the developers intended for this to be an actual part of the lore?

What do you want to know, exactly I could explain it.
Basicly:
1. Guess what? You don't exist, thats right you are a dream of the one-being called the God-Head. Everything is.
2. Realise that you are not real, nothing you know is, but at the same time, you do exist along with everything, not only as an one-being but as an idividual. You are a part of the God-Head, but the God-Head is also a part of you.
3. Scream to God-Head, "No, I'm real, I exist!"
You have truly earned the right to control, as you say, everything.
You must realise the you are everything and nothing. You are everyone and only one being. You are not, and yet you are. To achieve CHIM is to break reality. You're all, none, singular, ploral, real, and unreal, all at the same time. To realise this is to achieve CHIM, and the power to reshape what is around you. Powerful stuff, isn't it?

The way they explain CHIM seems very deep and complex but when you get to the meat of it minus all the fancy words and lore it's concept is quite simple.

Wait, is the concept of CHIM cannon? And why is it capitalized?

CHIM is canon, it has been mentioned both directly and indirectly several times across the games.
and CHIM is capitalized because it is a word in the Ehlnofex language. All words in the Ehlnofex language are written in all caps.

I'm wondering how Lorkhan basically taking over the ES world will play out.

But does CHIM necessarily mean the realization that you're in a video game? And I just did some research, this all seems like philosophy of some old mages, and not necessarily true.

It's true, something I belive was there to fill plotholes. Arena said Cyrodill was a jungle. Then Tiber gets CHIM and changes the land after Daggerfall. See with CHIM, Dragon Breaks can be fixed and plot holes can be filled.

I don't know, some of this just seems like speculation.

Didnt Tiber use the thu'um to change the jungles of cyrodiil ?
No a lot of what Mankar C. says is true, maybe not all but a lot.

I always thought it was a joke from bethesda or the fans, but if it's cannon I suddenly want to see an expansion pack centered around it.

This is what I want to be true. Like the way Mai'q is just an Easter egg.

I want them not to mention this anymore , i liked the games more before i ever heard of this CHIM thing , the game tells us one thing , the Lore website tells us another thats completely different , i hate that
i wish they could cancel it out and say it wasnt actually true , but its too late for that .
this CHIM spoiled the elder scrolls for me .

at least it isn't all thrown in our faces every 5 minutes. Unless you're cheating that is.

Yeah, going through all of this, it just sounds like a little project one of the designers came up with and put into the game. As long as there's no real evidence of this being true, and it doesn't explicitly state that "YOU'RE IN A VIDEO GAME!", it's as good as not there for me. Still, I'd like to know what the developers' think about all this.

On second thought, an expansion might be too much. Although the more I think about the concept of CHIM itself the more I like it. (even if it is a subtle plot hole filler)

"Aye! And as man you said, "Let me show you the power of Talos, Stormcrown, born of the North, where my breath is long winter. I breathe now in royalty and reshape this land which is mine. I do this for you, Red Legions, for I love you." "

I never liked the idea of explicitly breaking the Fourth Wall, so if I read more about CHIM and find out it really is about characters in the world realizing they are part of a videogame I will stop liking it.
