I was in the "Your pet peeves" thread and Scozzar mentioned that we need a ranting thread. So here it is whoever wishes to rant can now rant away freely. Vent your angers or share your dreams.

Oh no. This thread will be the death of me.
Okay, well, I might as well begin, with the topic of: My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
Why do we love the show? It's funny, cute, creative, and has terrific voice acting. No, we're not pedophiles, nor are we all gay. To those who insist we are one of those things, true bronies, as we call ourselves, will Love and Tolerate you, which many bronies need to learn. Go ahead, have your cruel, ignorant ways. Call us all losers who "stay home from work/school to watch ponies". A true brony will love and tolerate you, maybe even become friends. But I must say, most of those that are not bronies... have not given the show a chance.
Now, like every deviant culture, there are certain extremes that always come from such hobbies. Of course Rule 34 comes into effect in full force with ponies, and you know, that's okay. People have their own ways of expressing themselves, and if it means drawing and/or writing pony p0rn, that's fine, but don't generalize an entire group of people by an extremist you dislike. That's like accusing every American of being a xenophobic Rush Limbaugh-esque idiot. It's unfair, and not right.
The reason most non-bronies laugh at us is because of social norms - boys are supposed to be the tough ones, with little to no feelings, and the women are the ones that are more emotional, and like to have tea-parties and like to watch rom-coms. Well, these norms are changing, and we need to learn to accept it, or at least tolerate it. Men are still men. Women are still women. The definitions of what makes you the gender of which you were born into is changing, that's all.
So yeah, I'm a brony, and I'm proud of it. I'm not your stereotypical guys-guy, but that doesn't matter. I am who I am, Frosty the Pony-Lover.

What is up with these TV dinners? Have you had them? They have way too much salt! It's like they're trying to wipe out the world's slug population through feeding us these TV dinners. I'm sick of it! I'm sick of it, I tells ya!

When exactly was this mythical time in which boys were "supposed to be boys"? Not in my lifetime, I can tell you that! No, feminists and the gender-obsessed culture warriors who operate our opinion industries made short work of
that old-fashioned cultural construct decades ago. They still ACT like there's some vast social conspiracy to get boys all tough, but masculinity is the Emmanuel Goldstein of the modern era.
Hence bronies. Nobody expects boys to be masculine, hell, nobody WANTS boys to be masculine. Masculine boys are freaks- they're "bullies" or "rednecks" or "nasty evil jocks", and we just know they're really compensating for something, trying ever so hard to hide the fact that deep down inside, they're colossal softies. The Masculine is a self-denying Other, at least according to the narrative constructs of the age. Is it any surprise then that there's an entire generation of metro-equestrians flittering about, fantasizing about magical talking ponies? Behold, we reap what we sow.
And stop hating on the cloppers. The only thing worse than a clopping brony is a non-clopping brony. At least the cloppers are honest, and comfortable with who they are! The rest of you just want to eat the cake, then hide the box and pretend like nothing happened.
Yes, Pinkie Pie. Yes, they do.

I second the above. Also why does the purple horse have what looks to be a penis growing out of it's head?

except the purpose of a "RANT" is NOT "efficiency" ... that's why it's called a "RANT". it would help if you'd actully RANT ...

I like keeping it short. Feel free to rant about it.
Besides, I've ranted about all those compressed rants several times before. It just gets old after a while.

You know what I hate on this site is that you ask a question and instead of getting an answer you either get ignored or abused. I'm sorry I'm not 14 I don't know what a Bronie is, nor do I know what clopping is. Yes I asked in a less than serious way. It's a defense mechanism. But thank you for highlighting the need to have one. If you don't like how someone posts add them to your foe's list and then you don't have to read their comments. Don't just be insulting, your not cool or clever.
Rant over.
Frosty is there a pink unicorn as well?

Well, a Brony is a Male that likes My little pony, and Clopping is, as I understand, [&@%!] to Pony P0rn

I'm sorry I hurt your feelings, I'm just a cranky [&@%!] in the morning.
Really though, my "not rant" wasn't directed directly at you. It was a general complaint.
