War. War never changes.
On October 23rd 2077, a world war raged once more. Humanity was all but wiped out in 2 hours brief hours. From the nuclear flames new civilisations struggled to survive. A few managed to reach the safety of an underground vault. You are one of those in such a vault. Vault 54. That war was 20 years ago.. Now your vault is about to open, your people experience the outside world. A small scouting party is being sent to check on the outside world. Some volunteered for this task, others chosen in a lottery. All residents between 16 and 55 are eligible for this task. You are part of this scouting group. You gather near the exit to the vault, awaiting orders from your overseer. Life in the vault is about to change.

Combat and Skills checks

It will be determined by rolling a D20. It will be done behind the scenes by me. Requirements are based off a number of factors such as CASPIE, Tag Skills et cetra. Health is as follows:

Healthy
Lightly Wounded
Wounded
Badly Wounded
Unconscious
Dead

Resting will heal you overtime. Stimpacks and First Aid skill heal instantly.

Crippled

Eyes=You are far less perceptive and it is very hard to hit with ranged attacks.

Right Arm=Can't use 2 handed weapons. If both arms are crippled can only use unarmed attacks.

Left Arm=Can't use 2 handed weapons. If both arms are crippled can only use unarmed attacks.

Right Leg=Move with a limp. If both crippled must crawl or be carried.

Left Leg=Move with a limp. If both crippled must crawl or be carried.

Crippled bodyparts can only be healed by the doctor skill or by visiting a doctor.

Primary statistics

Think of CASPIE as SPECIAL without luck.You get 1 point in every CASPIE and then 29 points to spend in what attributes you want. All stats are capped at 10 or 1.

C= Charisma
A= Agilty
S= Strength
P= Perception
I= Intelligence
E= Endurance

Charisma= A combination of appearance and charm. A high Charisma is important for characters that want to influence people with words.

Agility= Coordination and the ability to move well. A high Agility is important for any active character.

Strength= Raw physical strength. A high Strength is good for physical characters. Need 8 strength to use massive weapons (fat man, minigun, missile launcher, super sledge et cetra.) Also affects how much you can carry.

Perception= The ability to see, hear, taste and notice unusual things. A high Perception is important for a sharpshooter.

Intelligence= Knowledge, wisdom and the ability to think quickly. A high Intelligence is important for any character. For every 2 points of Intelligence you get a 1 Tag Skill.

Endurance= Stamina and physical toughness. A character with a high Endurance will survive where others may not.

So going to join this- just let me think up a sheet.

by Gideon Dragontongue
Name: Eric Westchester

Sex: Male

Age: 20

Physical Appearance: Eric is a tall, lanky individual, wide of shoulder and muscular of frame. His hair is of medium length, dark brown, and slightly curly. His face is rarely cleanshaven. His eyes are stormy blue, and were once remarked as being wise. His brows are large and bushy, though not obtrusively so, and his nose is fairly unremarkable.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Career: Doctor

Personality: Eric is extremely intelligent, bordering if not surpassing genius level. By the same token, he is unsociable and often offputing in his indeliberately superior manner. He loves above all else two things: knowledge, for its own sake; and justice, though not in people or governments to uphold it. In addition, he is versed in facets of hundreds of subjects, with an excellent memory.

Biography: Though his parents were unremarkable, they realized from an early age that their son was gifted. He learned to read at two, and by age ten he had voraciously devoured every last book he could get his hands on. He learned to shoot from his father, doing it to physically challenge himself when other pursuits failed him. By sixteen, he was the vault's resident expert on medicine, surpassing even the head doctor on pure information. He is also a skilled composer of music, learning his technique from recordings of classical musicians on holodisks. At the same time, very few of the vault's population are actually aware of his true intelligence, as by and large he keeps a low profile.

Equipment: 2 Stimpaks, 1 Water Canteen, 1 Combat Knife, 1 Lighter, 1 N99 10mm pistol, 1 Vault Jumpsuit, 1 Doctor's Bag.

They will cancel each other out and do nothing. So there is no point. Also can you please list all your equipment. Even the stuff everyone gets.

I actually have all that on Notepad, but I wanted to make sure my spot was reserved. Fallout 3 is pretty much neck and neck with TES games as my favorite RPG.

Name: Christopher Anderson
Sex: Male
Age: 36
Physical appearence: Chris would be considered handsome- but rugged, with his squared of jaw and ovalish face. His nose is long but slightly crooked at the end- not enough to distract from his overall appearence- and his cheek bones are high. His dark blue eyes are full of compassion and empathy and his mouth is small but normally in the shape of a caring smile. His hair is raven black and kept fairly short but his fringe always sticks outwards. He is also fairly scrawny.
Sexuality: Hetrosexual.
Family: Alex(son) +anyone else who wants to.
Career: Security Guard.
Personality: He can be considered 'the good Cop' preferring to talk people down bur he is brutally efficient when it comes to combat.
Biography: The son of a cop himself, Chris grew up wanting to be like his dad- he had never been as happy as the day when he became a Vault Guard- until Liz came along that is. After having his son- Alex, Chris married Liz where they lived happily in that vault for 14 years but Liz died of an uncurable cancer two years ago. Chris went into a depression but was pulled out of it when Alex won the raffle for the party leaving the vault and Chris decided to volunteer to protect his son.

Alright...

Despite being mostly clueless, I might just go ahead and have a go at this anyway. And like virtually everyone else, the family thing sounds fun. (Someone should totally think up a TES RP with that in).

I'll make a character sheet this evening.

Interesting. I'll have to wait until your character sheets are actually finished before they can be accepted. Still no complaints so far, except what I said to Musicman.

How big can a family be? Can we all be part of one big family? Brothers, sisters, spouses, cousins, sons, daughters, etc.?

Re: Fallout: Vault 54

by Kerr
If you want, yes. People could have voulteered to be on the scouting party. So if somebody gets their name taken out in the lottery, their sibling/spouse/parent might have voulteered so they can keep them safe.

Also there is a difference between First Aid and Doctor.

Its up to you. Just think it would be interesting seeing as you both have the same job. But don't think i'm trying to force you into anything. Do whatever you want to do.

Alex could have been chosen in the lottery and then his parents volunteered to keep him safe.......
