Water Glitch-Game Crash

Everything in my game seems to be working fine, up to when I enter water.
I can run around in water, but as soon as it gets deep enough that I must swim/be underwater, the game freezes up completely, and my entire console crashes and must be restarted.
I play on the PS3, fully updated.
Any tips? :c

That's just a bug with the most recent update to the PS3.

You'll just have to uninstall the update and then install it again.

okay, I am confused and I hope one of you can help me. I have had this issue with the game for months:

When you state, that this is a bug to the recent update to the PS3 are you talking about system software version 4.11?
and if so, are you saying that I need to uninstall version4.11 and reinstall it and this should resolve my problem of going under water and my system crashing??
I have not done any of the game patches: 1.4 or 1.5 have any of you?? and if so, were they helpful or did they mess things up for you as I have read in other forums? Thanks so much for your help!!
