You know what its like, you do things in ways that other people don’t and they ask "why"
For me when I was younger or when I need to figure something out, I count my fingers AND my palms, so I have seven on both instead of five.
I also make ko aid by putting the pack in and THEN adding water and then sugar.
there are more but I cant think of them now.

Well I lick all the flavouring off 'Doritos' crisps before I eat them if that counts.

Ditto.
Or at least sometimes. I like to do it, lol.

when eating, at times if I stopped using my knife I'll switch my fork over to the knife hand, putting the knife down.

Sure, I'll just add that to the trolley along with the explanation on how Essence reacts with the Carbon Dioxide in the air to become corrupted and how Essence is made.

I mostly only use a fork to eat, I just shovel the food onto the fork and if it has to be cut I use the side of the fork to press it through the food until the food parts.

That pretty much how I eat, but sometimes, like roast meat, I'll use a knife.

Why would anyone want to "do things differently"?! I do just about everything differently, and look where it gets me! As a habitual dissident, let me tell you, doing things differently is neither as fun nor as glamorous as popular culture wants you to think.
As my old sergeant used to say: Oh, look! We got us an individual! This guy here thinks he doesn't have to do what everyone else does!

Apparently, I hold my writing utensils differently. Because it's the way I've always done it, I don't know what that means, but everyone from my art teacher to old ladies I volunteer for to my family says it is ridiculous.
I don't know how to describe it, so, excusing my beat up hands, here's a photo:

That is a little different. I suppose most people use their middle finger to support the pencil under it, but whatever works for you.

I do it wrong, too, I think. Just in a different way.

That is exactly how I hold my pencils/pens in class. Please, say you're left handed!

I'm not a freak after all! Or my style is pretty popular! Huzzah!
Gandalf wrote:That is exactly how I hold my pencils/pens in class. Please, say you're left handed!
Nope, right handed...I think. I write with my right hand. I do everything else primarily with my left. Which is actually difficult: I either have some severe muscle issues on my left side or I simply can't feel as well, because I don't have a very easy time moving or manipulating that side. I don't feel it as much. Also can't wiggle my left toes, so I don't wear flip flops. Can't hold the stupid things down on my feet!

Wow. I hardly wear any shoes but flip-flops, as a matter of fact.

I like to put vegemite on pancakes. And my recipe comes from a 1970's Womans Weekly Cookbook.
