Good 'ol fashioned dungeon crawl

I fancy a good dungeon crawl. Can anyone direct me? I'm not in the mood for Blackreach as I have already cleared the dinge out, so does anyone know a good extremely long semi-linear dungeon to crawl through?

Pretty much any cave/dwemer stronghold with a Falmer presence. All the ones I've found are long as [&@%!].

I'd have to agree with Believe, those Dwemer ruins are quite linear and chocked FULL of those nasty Falmer. You can get some quite interesting loot too. I think a good one you should try is the Sightless Pit near Winterhold.

I've always had a love-hate relationship with those Dwemer ruins. Personally, I hate the fact that they're so freaking huge, but if you're looking for an "extremely long" dungeon then there's nothing better. I'd suggest Alftand, if you haven't already been there. It's massive, and full of a variety of enemies including Dwemer machinery and Falmer.

I've already done Aftland, as I was doing it on my way to Blackreach. But i'll check out Slightless Pit.

I've always had a soft spot for Dwemer ruins, they were great for dungeon delving in Morrowind, and I feel it's no different in Skyrim. One place I did quite like though myself was Ansilvund, in Eastmarch near the Morrowind border, northeast of Shor's Stone.

most of the dwemer ruins are rather long... there might be a few normal caves that are a bit on the long side but im not sure.

I'd have to do some serious Wikiing (yeah, I just coined that term), but there is a certain Nordic ruin that contains a word wall. At the end of the dungeon, the Draugr (variable based on level), he will drop a VERY high level War Axe, and if you are from level 15-20, it will most likely be Ebony, which helps a lot if you favor One-Handed weapons.

Nah, on my current character I use sneaky marksmanship, and dual-wield daggers for backstabbing etc.

What are your perks like? You could always do Mehrunes Dagon's quest for the Razor, if you haven't already.

I'd wager Dead Man's Respite is the one you're thinking of, and the end of the dungeon is you
Spoiler:
battling High King Olaf and his entire undead court.
The very, very best thing about the Bard's College.

Not the *only* good thing! The bards college has a mass amount of books, and a speech trainer!

Dwemer ruins are my favourite dungeons. Often huge, sprawling mazes which are easy to get lost in. I love the eerie sounds of steam-powered machinery and hints of mysterious advanced technologies based on using Soul Gems as power sources, and maybe as crystalline computers too. A welcome change from the often too-pervasive medieval theme. Great sources of Soul Gems for the avid Enchanter, and also for plenty of Dwemer scrap metal to Smelt into ingots and sell for easy profits. As for size, I was utterly gobsmacked in one Dwemer ruin when I ended up in an underground cavern SO high I could barely make out the roof. I'm looking forward to finally gaining access to...
Spoiler:
the stupendously huge cavern containing a "Dwemer city". I'll say no more, except that access is only granted at a later stage of the Main Quest. And I wish I hadn't read about it now, as it's spoiled the surprise for me, like "spoaching" for Christmas presents when I was a kid. Yeah, it's a Geordie word. To "spoach" means to "sneak a crafty peek". I think it probably stems from "sneaky poacher", i.e. "spoacher".

Mzinchaleft is a good one. I went into it out of curiousity and was in there forever. Also Shrouded Hearth Barrow in Ivarstead. That one was long and way damn cool.
