Drunkards Union

Inebriated? Drunken beyond reason? GOOD! Because so am I! So instead of annoying the good and sober, let us congregate in our mead hall rightly. It took me five minutes to be anything near grammatically correct, if not 10...

Okay then...when the sober get mad, just remember, ya always have a mead hall in which to retreat. No need to be an ass.

Edit: Unless all you have is that attitude, then I would definitely stay a drunkard in that case....that's a bleak existence, having no sense of humor...

I am all for enjoying and talking about your favorite alcoholic beverage... or any beverage, be it coffee, tea, or other flavored/carbonated drinks.

I will not appologize for not finding any humor in people who ruin their lives, and the lifes others by abusing any substance.

Yeah. Maybe a discussion about alcoholic beverages would be all right. (For instance, I love mead.) I don't think we want to promote bad or hurtful habits on here. It's not very polite - or nice. We're all a family, so you got to look out for everyone. That's what we do here at UESP.

See a lot of mead around, do we?

Wow, finally.. someone else with a little sense of irresponsibility.

I might just fit in here.

Beer. Lots of it.

Indeed! Never mind the politically correct *belch* hippies. Everyone just needs to chill, like my Guinness, and we'll all tolerate *belch* the hippies.

There's a reason I am the "Mr. Bourbon" of the UESP Beverage Club, usually with Coke.
Though these days I've been drinking a lot of spiced rum with grenadine and Coke.

I seem to always be in and out of love with wine. And always seem to forget that I hate beer or convince myself that I should try some...always with disappointing results.

A few years ago it was all the Heineken I could drink. Now it's Steel Reserve and two buck chuck.

I'd like to try a few Trappist Tripels before I die.

Trappist beer is like...not beer. And it's not nice.

I'll take your word for it... but you'd better send me a couple bottles so I can independently confirm.

Well, take my judgement with a grain of salt. I'm picky when it comes alcohol.

I kind of miss Sidecars. Good lemons are hard to come by.

Bad lemons— that's a cliché.

Booze is our legacy as civilized people :D All this anti-drinking nonsense is a historical anomaly - personally I prefer playing & reading with a drink or few ...

Hard cider. Or cheap wine. Or Amarula (one of the things I'm proudest about my country). Amarula works with just about everything. Fudge, chocolate, coffee, ice cream. On its own. Or over ice. Now I want some Amarula.

Vodka with ice tea. I strongly recommend this.

Remember, my Dunmeri brother: wine is divine. En vino veritas, as they once said. I myself love a glass of wine and any fellow who can pick out a decent one at dinner earns a few extra brownie points with me.

As for beer, I find that it is really a matter of growing accustomed to it. A lot of people don't like it. A lot of people also don't drink good beer, going for that watered down nonsense. Once you figure out what you like, and have a good glass, then you're in love. But I don't drink beers too often; usually just at the bar after work with my friends or at the brewery I love back home. It certainly isn't for everyone, either.

A lovely motto. The ancient Germans required drunkenness to stand witness in court, on the assumption that drunks couldn't lie (or lie as well as when sober).

It's not very professional, but it works pretty well when you don't yet have access to Roman jurisprudence.

So much beer, and Cider's nice for a Summer's day. If I'm feeling rather upper class, I may go for a Baileys or Red wine.

That is fascinating! Not professional, but probably with its merits...to a certain extent, anyway.

"Here, have a splash of this Wood Elven wine my brother-in-law sent me for the summoning of Molag Bal."

"What's it made out of?"

"Mostly fermented meat."

Beer. Whiskey. Beer. Whiskey. Sometimes Gin *followed by serious hangover*, long break from gin.
