I think I'm addicted to...(Tell of your Skyrim addiction(s))

ALCHEMY

I like to use potions and poisons. But I recently found out how bad it can be. I have 500 "Carry Weight". I was using about 448 of it. When I emptied all my potions into a chest at my home, it went down to 213. That's 235 carry weight being used up by potions, and when figured, that's about 470 potions!

I now have a system set up where I take a limited amount of potions, and I get more when I need them, so I can carry extra loot. And when I get a chance, I'll sell what I don't really use.

Are you addicted to something in Skyrim, and is it causing a burden on you? Spill your guts here. I will listen... ok maybe read... I'm still unsure about replying, I don't counsel well. :P

I don't know if this an addiction or a compulsion, but I like to collect things. All things. Everything. I'm aiming to have 100 of every common game item, like 100 Lanterns, 100 of each kind of Bucket, each kind of Shovel, each kind of weapon and armour, Embalming Tools, and so on. And none of it gained through thievery. With Oblivion's game-ending ABomb bug, I never got close to achieving it.

I haven't bought a house in Skyrim yet, and the End Table in the Alchemist's Shack is starting to creak and groan under the load.

swords or maces! Glass Sword? oOoh, pretty. Ebony Mace? I want. Any type of sword including the pathetic ancient sword? yup. My house in Markarth has swords laying about in cases and hung up for display.

Gems. I probably could buy every house, every horse, and every thing I've ever wanted due to my dragon like hoard of gems.

I collect gemstones. Irri can make herself a bed out of emeralds and rubies and amethysts and make her inner dragon happy.

Collecting books, trying to make nonexistent potions with Alchemy, enchanting stuff then putting it in people's houses.
Then in combat, using Frostbite to slow my enemies until they can't do anything and watch them pitifully crawl toward me and then strike them down. Or burning things to death.

sneaking around with my bow and trying to get the perfect head shot. Everytime I enter a ruin I think the same quote from Diablo 2: "It's dark in here. Good. They'll never see me coming."

+1, especially flawless gemstones. I just won't sell them on. Ironically, they are all stashed away in a closet and not even on display. I miss those Oblivion display cases... :?

Another addiction I have is using Ice form just for fun. I'll go to my breezehome and freeze my housecarl if I'm nearby... Other people arent so forgiving... like the guard. And it's funnier to freeze someone in mid step too.

I always forget I have my racial powers when it matters, which I suppose might be an addiction. When I do use my racial powers, it's usually out of a panic and I waste them, and it always seems later on that same day I actually do need them.
As for an actual addiction? I'm addicted to dual wielding. It's not practical for a light armor character, it gives you no defense other than your armor, the attacks are kind of slow if you don't have the right perks, but it's just a ton of fun to use, not to mention the standing animation for it looks awesome.

I'm addicted to playing sniper with my bow. Out of nothing but boredom -- I go to a secluded high-ground near a down and snipe guards from long distance.

I also collect books -- I wish I could open a library

i also have one of every sort of gemstone, including flawless ones

i think its cos i expect someone to ask me if i have a flawless garnet or something, and they'll let me into the secret clubhouse or give me something i need for a quest - i suppose its the same 'logic' that makes me keep a draw in my house full of old rechargers, batteries, bulbs and manuals from gadgets.. one day, .. one day

Whenever I see a bunny, I WILL destroy it. Doesn't matter how far I must chase it, the little [&@%!] will die by my blade.

And I can spend minutes waving troll skulls back and forth so that their jaws clap together.

HAHAHA! I've never done that -- but I know what I am doing after work. Do they make any noise when you do?

My my, our little Nanza has a dark side!

I have this thing with collecting jewelry and clothes. Necklaces and rings, boots and gloves and plain clothes - I have quite a collection. However, I like to change out of my armor once in a while so I figure that I might as well look like one smartly dressed Imperial, yes?

But that and books aside (always, always books - I hoard them and then stay in a room and read them all together), I'm always holding onto little unimportant things that I think will make my house-to-be livable. That includes plates and baskets, pieces of paper and pits of writing charcoal, lanterns, flowers...you know. I just want to be cozy in my new home away from home.

Actually, you know what my real addiction is? The game map. Whenever I detect a location is approaching, I have to stop what I'm doing and discover it. It's sickening, really.

Looting. My current character has plenty of money. I still find myself looting anything with a 10-1 value to weight ratio even though I know that all I am accomplishing is setting up the need to be spending more time with merchants selling off fur armor, hide braces, etc., when I could be out and about having adventures.
