What do you want for Tamriel's people?

So there are all these threads about what do you want....so here is mine.
Where do you want the races from a lore perspective in the future?
You can do this by what you want and how events took place in Skyrim for you.
Morrowind:
Me? I have always liked the Dunmer (In a modest way not a Dunmerarethebestmorrowindwasthebest way) I'd like for them to be back. Vvardenfell is destroyed but they are more strong and united than ever in Southern Morrowind. Even the Ashlanders formed loose alliances with their "civilized" brethren. Morrowind is neutral for now in the great scheme of things as while their future is bright but still need to sort things out. They are those more inclined to The Empire or at least Skyrim for the good times before Ulfric came to Windhelm when Skyrim was more welcoming. The Great Houses try to reform as well....with much more better people running the groups this time..especially for House Telvanni which now has a great benevolence for Argonians....however there is some resistance to accept change as older Dunmer and those in South Morrowind have a bitter taste from the Argonian Invasions and those Dunmer who want to stick to the old ways the houses were run. The Morag Tong try to establish themselves again but are met with resistance...
Skyrim:
Ulfric naturally as I sided with the Empire is dead...The Stormcloaks are leaderless and scattered but they rally under Rolff Stone-Fist or Thorald Gray-Mane who lead new attacks against Skyrim's holds but are within a few years stomped out by the superior empire presence. Riften is more corrupt than ever and Bandits and Brigands freely roam the city and now a DB presence has come. The Imperials ask Maven Black-Briar to step down but she refuses and holes herself up in Riften with her own personal army of Bandits. The Empire breaks through and hands her butt to her....realizing Maven is jeopardizing them the Thieve's Guild leaves Riften to ensure survival. A new Jarl is appointed and starts taking steps to improving Riften and the legion establish a base in Faldar's Tooth as a safety measure.
Black-Briar Meadery continues to run and is now owned by Indaryn. Whiterun is again dubbed "The Imperial City of Skyrim" the land is prosperous although the hold is having problems with Giants who seem to be coming together in large groups. Markarth is still under siege by The Forsworn but The Empire is keeping them at bay....mining into the rock has discovered further Dwemer ruins and another threat....The Falmer. Winterhold is gaining strength again as the town is rebuilt and people are slowly accepting the College which has has it's members increased ten-fold however there are those who remain weary as Psijic's are seen around from time to time. Windhelm and Falkreath are major places for refugees those escaping Morrowind who decided to stay and those fleeing the Thalmor in Cyrodiil and the Summerset Isles. Both cities are bolstered by the mixing of cultures although there is resistance by some established Nordic families who wish the elves and imperials gone. Jarl Free-Winter establishes a outpost by Refugee' Rest and fixes the site and welcoming refugees or those looking to start a new life. Jarl Free-Winter is killed by a Nord assassin and sympathizer of the now defunct Stormcloaks but a cultural acceptance of other races is widespread overpowering prejudice and new jarl is appointed who continues Free-Winter's work.
So that's all I got for now....so what do YOU want to see?

Hmmm...what I'd like...
- For Morrowind to rebuild, but new Houses forged with clear lineages from the previous Houses (House X is made from former Redoran and Indoril, House Y is made from Hlaalu and Dres, House Z is made from Telvanni and remnants of non-corrupted Dagoth, etc.)
- More importantly, I want more Beast race lore and presence in world politics, it always seems like they take a back seat to the man and mer races when it comes to activity (Black Marsh is neutral and Elsweyr is a state of the Aldmeri Dominion, but nothing beyond that)
I'd even take an evil faction of Khajiit cropping up, anything really so long as it doesn't destroy previous lore
- Less focus on the Man v Mer animosity, that just seems to be the general theme in every topic these days

I want the Stormcloaks to win so that the Thalmor can't undo creation through their clever brainwashing Tulpa trick.
MOAR LOREZ. MORE MK.
The Empire must die, so that the Thalmor have no anchor in the northern lands and have less influence.
Morrowind rebuilding would be nice, but unless someone achieves CHIM and clears away the ash and fire and destruction, I see little chance of that happening.

The Empire is what is keeping the Thalmor out...how would destroying them make the Thalmor have less influence? If the empire leaves the Thalmor have free reign to invade Skyrim.

Keeping the Thalmor out? The Thalmor have already invaded Skyrim, in a sense. They have free reign right to enforce the Concordat and that includes killing Talos-worshipers. If the Empire crush the Stormcloaks, that's making it all the more easier for the Thalmor to play their dirty little propaganda tricks. I blame Titus Mede II (praise Talos that I have already killed him!). After the Battle of the Red Ring, withdrawing wasn't the worst of ideas but signing and agreeing to the Concordat which basically contained the same terms as proposed at the beginning of the war (and doing so would've allowed for the Thalmor to rebuild, while the Thalmor could keep a boot on their neck, so to speak), and so they wasted five years of resources and lives.
Driving out the Empire will make it so that the Thalmor can't legally enforce the Concordat in Skyrim since it isn't a province of the Empire anymore. Talos worship is reinforced, Mundus is reinforced.
Hell, it's not the better option, but the Empire is as good as dead. All the options APPEAR to lead up to the same thing - war with the Thalmor. After all, why do you think the Dominion called the Great War, "The First War with the Empire"? The Empire is infested with Thalmor spies. They know the inner workings. They are everywhere. And
The hour draws late and I must take my leave. Reply, I'll reply later. This is an old topic I love to debate over.

Right and if the Empire leaves so do the legion and the supply runners who help provide Skyrim with resources.
They haven't invaded....there is Northwatch Keep and The Embassy there are....at most a few hundred Thalmor in Skyrim (and I am being generous with that number). If Skyrim is left alone to defend itself without resources or legionaries to bolster its defenses...thousands of Thalmor soldiers would have free reign to crush Skyrim. Because no offense but the Stormcloaks are a personal army do you believe they would be able to stop hundreds if not thousands of Thalmor mages and soldiers? Not to mention by fracturing Skyrim and The Empire the Aldmeri Dominion would have a buffer zone to launch attacks into Cyrodiil from Falkreath, Whiterun, and Riften and be able to attack Hammerfell and High Rock from Markarth and Falkreath. Even though the Dominion was fought to a stalemate with Hammerfell Skyrim as a launching point would allow for the Thalmor to invade Hammerfell again the city of Dragonstar and the town of Elinhir would be put to the test as well as the Thalmor attacking from sea to the south. The High Rock cities Jehanna and Farrun are also at risk for being overran. Heck if they wanted to further crush or ally with they can use Skyrim and the Dunmeth Pass to invade Morrowind and not be met by much resistance.

Skyrim has and can live by it self.

yeah and they have not invaded redgaurds who are away form the empire and the weakest if they truely had as many numbers as you claim why have they not atacked yes?
Because no offense but the Stormcloaks are a personal army do you believe they would be able to stop hundreds if not thousands of Thalmor mages and soldiers?
they have done it with less.
Not to mention by fracturing Skyrim and The Empire the Aldmeri Dominion would have a buffer zone to launch attacks into Cyrodiil from Falkreath, Whiterun, and Riften and be able to attack Hammerfell and High Rock from Markarth and Falkreath.
they can alreddy atacked hammerfell if they wanted to in fact
skyrim is the faterst form their main base.

Except one problem an invasion army has NEVER EVER in a long history of invasion armys beat the Nord's in skyrim.

I want all the people of Tamriel but aside their differences of race and religion but that will never happen.

I'd like to see the Empire reforged under a strong royal line, uniting the political and military might of Man, Morrowind, and a semi-autonomous Elsweyr (I think the opportunistic Khajiit will side with whichever power appears strongest at the time). Meanwhile, the Argonians of Black Marsh, following their ejection from Morrowind by Dunmeri and Imperial forces, would fall back into a fiercely independent defensive position, resisting all attempts at subjugation by neighboring cultures.
The Dominion, pressed on all sides on the Tamrielic mainland, would withdraw its resources to Fortress Summerset, and ultimately would be kept separate and at arms length by the new Empire, which would have a new-found respect for Altmeri power and alienness. If the Dominion could be fully reconquered, the Empire would still need to appease the overweening pride of the Altmer; perhaps through religious and/or economic concessions.

Wolfie, the reasons why Hammerfell is not taken by the Dominion is becuase;
1. The redgaurds are the most talented warrriors in Tamriel.
2. They cant flank Hammerfell.

Despite most of Hammerfell being virtually decimated after the war against the Thalmor?

Hamerfell is destoryed, they could not hold aginst an atack that could destoy the empire

Oops let me clarify on the Markarth thing....I am not speaking of Nchuand-Zel.
I am talking ruins that aren't protected by the automated defenses....so they are safe from the Falmer from Nchuand-Zel but not elsewhere.
Also, fighting with the Forsworn has intensified Markarth and the surrounding areas are constantly being besieged....attempts on the Jarl's life are frequent as are attempts on the Silver-Blood family who have lost some of their presence within the city.

-Freedom for Skyrim. They should be allowed to worship or do whatever the Hell they want. First men came from Skyrim.
-For the Bosmer to understand the Thalmor threat and leave them behind.
-The battle between the Dunmer and the Argonians should continue.
-Hammerfell should abandon the Empire, this time not only with mere words.
-The Empire needs to get some help from those who are left. Maybe from High Rock or Elsweyr.
-For the Aldmeri Dominion to fall.
-The Forsworn unleashed. Again.

Most naturally talented does not equal best. The Empire under Tiber Septim feared the Dunmer more than it seemed to fear the Redguards, but in the end the Imperials proved to be the most effective military force. My point is simply that just because the Redguards are highly skilled, does not guarantee them victory on the field of battle.
Which leads me to another point, and one that is less tangential to the topic at hand, I'd like to see Tamriel without one dominant force, or at least if not that, without the rule of Man, for the simple reason that Man has ruled for too long and change is the flavour of the month. In terms of the games, having the Empire added to them, but in terms of Lore I wouldn't mind if Tamriel splintered.
Also, Zero, do you mean you want Bethesda to take Mike Kirkbride back when you say MORE MK?

Again Duru I would have to disagree with you....most elves (except Bosmer) are jerks.
Altmer are.....as we can see diehard haters of men.
The Dunmer (although I'd like to see them recover) are too proud and some often see others as below them although it's definitely NOT as hardcore as the Altmer. (They do give people a chance to prove their meddle)
Not to mention as of now even without the catastrophe of the Red Year the Dunmer are splintered - Great Houses are in ruins, Tribunal is fallen, The Temple likewise has possibly fallen, and who knows what else.....I am guessing here that they went back to Daedra worship but even then...that might not be good for them as Tamriel's people might have some hatred and fear for that after what happened in Oblivion.

It's hard not to be spoiled with what's out there. I was looking for info on Emperor Titus Mede. And saw those youtube mentions. Spoiled too much already and I haven't been to the Greybears on Hrothgar yet. I've been doing all the misc and hold centered quests. Have not signed up with the imperials or the stormcloaks yet. I wanted to find out more about the history since Oblivion. I found out about the two novels and read the timeline on uesp up to now (4E 201).
What happened to poor Tamriel upset me. I was dismayed to find out Ocato was assasinated too. It's like all the old friends from the previous games were assasinated or met untimely or grisly deaths. And then Morrowind, pretty much wiped out by volcano and a Argonians took their revenge on the rest. Sure, some of the Dunmer may have deserved it for enslaving those khajit and argonians we saw in Morrowind but still. And add insult to injury, Cyrodil fell into squabbling and some Titus Mede I warlord just marched into the capitol and took over. Like all you did as the champion in Oblivion and as the Nerevarine in Morrowind amounted to collapse anyways! You didn't save civilization, instead it devolved into worse times than before the septims. You didn't even save Morrowind nor it's people. I guess all those daedra are really all evil ; as long as any of them were worshipped bad things were still going to happen in the end. Don't these Tamrieliens ever have any more than ten years of peace? Most of the bad people you meet in the elder scroll games are wackos like necromancers and crazy barbarians. The "civilized" people on the surface seem real nice, a lot more content and good mannered by far than the people in Dragonage. But then you read and hear about all the assasinations, loss of control, but you hardly ever see it. Most of the land is beautiful wilderness, but the people are just so idiotic and get themselves into trouble and death most of the time. The East Empire company always look to expand their profits on islands like Soltsheim but you hardly ever see ruins under reconstruction, instead they're always left to rot and most always infested by bandits or undead which seem to have more population than the civilized holds. You keep seeing those kids running around in the towns and most likely they're going to end up in some tragedy like the infested lighthouse. It's a wonder how those old alchemists in those alchemy stores ever survived as long as they did. Well I suppose this could all be a reflection of our own culture and ambiguous times. I'm still undecided who I'm going to support in the end as now I've realized Skyrim's Empire is not the same Empire as the septim one. And I'm not won over by "ulfric, killer of kings" either. I suppose the original idea of the lands being called the "Arena" as there was always some conflict could be what the story will always be about. The population always stays low because so many of them die off from so many dangers, even the long-lifespan elves. Maybe one day they'll all wind up a communist continent when their population finally overtakes the wilderness and they start having steam engines and muskets.

Ysmir, assuming I humour your assertion that all Mer are jerks (because I have no wish to get into a pointless argument about that particular topic, especially seeing as I've got a 6AM flight tomorrow morning and wont have solid internet access for over a week), what does them 'being jerks' have to do with anything in particular in regards to my wish for change in Tamriel? It does not change the fact they've been ruled over by Men for the past several Eras, and that the Great Empire they once had in the Merethic Era was taken from them by Man. It also does not change the fact that change would mean that there was no longer one huge, all encompassing Empire of Man. The alternative is no Empire, or an Empire of Mer, of Beasts or of a combination of Man/Mer/Beast or other combination.

I can ask you the same question.
All you seem to care about is that the elven races are on top...cause well....kinda obvious your a staunch supporter of elves.
I never saw you show what you wanted for the other races....other than to be subjugated by the elves and a revived elven empire.
They haven't been "ruled" by men....this isn't the First Empire...the elven races for the most part were treated cordially within the Septim Empire I will not say fairly cause no one is innocent of that in TES. Likewise I won't say all Altmer are bad....Potentate Ocato comes to mind...the Thalmor are the ruling body now though...a very extremist ruling body and I want nothing more for ALL of Tamriel's people (Altmer included) to be rid of these extremists.
