I don't use pickup lines... I talk to girls properly. I have actually never heard anyone use a pickup line, except on those American TV shows. This leads me to believe it's mainly an American thing.

I've heard some before from mates off of joke sites, but none appropriate for a family forum unfortunately.

I actually said this once, and I got such a slap for it (the alcohol helped dull the pain). A friend 'recommended it to me'. I'm only sharing it because you might find it funny: 'So, how do you prefer your eggs? Scrambled? Boiled? Fertilised?'

Not a big fan of that "picking up" thing, not very good at it either... I'm better at getting in a relationship. And instead of using a pickup line, I find it way more convincing to buy the person you like a flower (at least if it is girl, which it is in my case... that was how I won my girlfriend's heart)

Don't use them for obvious reasons, but I've had a couple of very bad pull attempts directed at me. I think the worst was probably when a boy said to me just 'Get your coat love, you've pulled' as a chat up, completely missing the meaning of the line, the person that's supposed to say it and the actual steps that must be taken before it is used.

Never used a pick up line.

B: I'm not that kind of guy. As a real gentlemen I use true compliments.

My friend used this once. It's quite creative actually. I had a draw up a diagram in order to understand it:
"If I were to ask you to go out with me, would the answer to that question be same as the answer to this question?"
The answer is always yes.

Never had one used on me, neither have I used one. I'm the sort of person who just...makes things happen. Or lets them happen. I never really do anything to be honest. It just happens.

Okay, here are three I've actually used, and the reactions to them.

1. Luv, instead of getting your coat because you're pulled, I'll get my wallet and pull us some drinks.
(No reaction)

2. Hey, I can never remember the date, so can you give me one?
(Pity laugh)

3. Hey. Let's pretend I used a cheap pick-up line, we got to talking, and we're about to go back to your place.
(Real laugh, nice chat)

I've never been a victim of pick-up lines in person (thank god) as guys just talk to me normally. Happens more often online in instant messages but ironically it's how I met my boyfriend. We always joke how it happened as the message was kinda cheesy but somehow it worked.

Okay, please educate me as to what "you're pulled" means, because it isn't common terminology over here and I'm very curious. Is this a UK thing?

I don't even speak English and I can guess what it means. Being pulled = being hooked. You know, like a fish. Baited and caught. Pulled.

I was trying not to use seduced, but there you go.

Seriously though, i've never even tried to pull someone, I never have been a romantic guy.

Nope, I've never used a pickup line yet. Of course I haven't.
