So.
Anyone else notice that ALL the children in Skyrim are Nords? I know there’s a Redguard couple with a kid in (I think) Whiterun and their child is a Nord. Sorta odd.
Possibly there’s some mystic web over the various provinces of the empire that causes all children to resemble the majority of the province. Or this Redguard couple happened to adopt a child because, really, they’re nice people. But I think the most likely conclusion is that Beth just made only so many children models and that they just never made a Redguard child model. Which, I guess, is fine.
Still, a little odd to a see a Nord child calling a Redguard mommy.

Well, there is an orphanage in Riften, so adoption is a likely possibility.

Who wants to adopt a young khajiit or argonian? Or even a dunmer; think their adults are fatalistic? Imagine one going through their teen goth years.

Voice actor issue? Aren't there only two kid voices in the game?

I don't think the child is a Nord. I think Bethesda used the same two models for every child in the game.

I'm sure I saw a mixed race kid somewhere. I could be wrong though

There are many Imperials and Bretons (Aventus Arentino is an Imperial, Babette is a Breton for example) and there are a few Redguard children as well. So actually it's only Humans that are children.

All this talk about pixellated crotch fruit has me wondering...are Argonians oviparous or viviparous?

So I googled around and there's a quote from Pete Hines stating that they're ovoviviparous.
If you wanted to go into the whole speculation thing [And apply real world theories to a fantasy world, seems slightly moot] I guess it could be they've evolved from mammals- That'd explain their similar bone structure to the other races, their breasts, and the fact that their eggs are held internally.
Can't even know that though, because AFAIK there's no way of linking the beast race's heritage with men and mer.

The accepted in-universe rule is that people take most of their racial characteristics from their mother. Essentially, you are your mother's race.

I would love to adopt a lil cub of my own...sadly Khajiit are second-class citizens in Skyrim and there's a lack of females to marry

There is a redguard child model, only one, in markarth. It's how I find Endon as she always follows him.

Perhaps, like T-Rex, the argonians are warm blooded reptiles??? Otherwise I would think we would find most of them taking extremely long naps at the snow line..
