Anybody have some good Roleplaying ideas for Skyrim? Post them here! :D

Currently I'm roleplaying as a Assassin/Hunter. I roam the wilderness of Skyrim hunting game for their meat and hides to conceal my identity as an assassin. I only enter cities to sell my goods and to carry out my assassinations.

What about you guys? What do you roleplay as? Any suggestions? I'd like to hear what you guys have to say :D

Well, I'm currently playing through to get fan fiction material and flesh out the world in my mind, but my Nord character is a huntsman's daughter from an imaginary little town near Riverwood. A life-long troublemaker from a pro-Empire household, Brynn's father finesses her into allowing her "better" brother to masquerade as Dovahkiin. Well, at least as long as they can keep up the charade. She becomes overwhelmed by the image of Talos and the anguish he must feel since he has been forgotten, forcing her to take control of her rightful role. Not sure where it will go after that.

As I play I try to keep her character in mind.

You start of as a training for your proffession of
-Blacksmithing.
-Cooking.
-Enchanting.
-Potion making.
-Mining.
You advance everyday and depending on your trade, you can start off as an apprentice for another smithery/bakery/etc. You then become a master at it and sell your goods you make.

Guilds
Of course you always have the options of being a
-Bard
-Thief
-Assassin
-College Scholar
-Companion

More Obvious Things
-Imperial Soldier
-Stormcloak
-Dragon Born

Outdoors man
-Hunter
-Cartographer= Grab a big piece of paper. Pretend that Skyrim hasn't been explored yet and don't use your map. Give your own names to places because you get to name them.
-Rouge=Don't interact with strongholds or villages. Find a tent of somesort and eat 2-3 meals a day and sleep at night by hunting or farming.

The map idea is awesome i have a good idea for business. First get married, then mak your house store like and add stuff on shelves as merchandise. Then when she gives you money take the equivalent merchandise of the shelves and put them in a barrel somehwere.

These are two that I am currently trying out.

Hunter: Become a Wood Elf. Go around exploring the forest and hunting animals for their pelts. Find a shack or camp to live out of. Only go to town when u need to buy supplies or sell pelts.

Necromancer: Become either a High Elf or Dark Elf. Find some necromancer or conjuration robes. Then buy the reanimate undead or raise zombie spell. Plus every necromancer has to have a nice little cave to hole up in.

Just started these so dont know how much fun they'll be.

Yeah, I didn't try the cartographer yet. I plan on using a wood elf for that. I think I might want to do that business one soon. Maybe with a Breton.

You can also do Terry ^^

After speaking with Jarl Maven Black Briar where she was most nasty considering you aided her people, I had an idea for role play. Simply be listener of Dark Brotherhood and Guild Master of the Thieves Guild Then refuse to aid Maven? Or someow come to an understanding that she should treat you with more respect?

You could try being a drunk/addict. Wear ragged clothes, drink a ton of wine/mead/Skooma, and get into fist fights with everyone, including guards and the Jarl. You must also steal food twice a day (or once if its something nice like a home cooked meal or sweet roll) and eat to survive. Can only sleep outdoors. You are allowed to carry basic weapons and wear boots, but no armor.

I don't know how much farther you could go with it but it might be worth a try

I've been thinking of roleplaying a monk.

Haven't decided which race but I'll probably choose an Imperial or a Breton. He will wear monk robes and footwraps/sandals if I can find some. He will carry a mace, but only use it against the undead and wild animals. Any other human enemies he will calm/paralyse them. Thinking about making a pilgrimage to all the different temples in the land. Maybe doing quests that have to do with killing the udead, vampires and stuff like that.

I'll use illusion, restoration and maybe one-handed.

Do you guys think this would be a good idea for a character any other tips or ideas on how to increase my roleplaying experience.

Interesting ideas. I would use an Imperial for the business once since they're greedy [&@%!] that always seem to have more gold than everyone. :p

I'm roleplaying as rapist an imperial warrior ATM, he is basically in love with the empire and hopes to eradicate all of the Stormcloaks, including Ulfric himself! he hates any evil (he thinks Stormcloaks are evil) and does any good for the people... his dad was a high ranking member of the fighters guild back in Cyrodiil, and because of this he was rich, but when his dad died in a bandit raid, his mum was left to look after him. He was old enough to fend for himself by that time though and learnt to handle himself in combat. He left Bruma quickly and got into Skyrim, only to find a war was going on. He 'joined' (infiltrated) the Stormcloaks and was caught with them crossing the border to Cyrodiil... he wants to follow in his dads footsteps and lead the companion one day though.

Kinda terrible RP, but whatever...

Hell fun to play though :P

Right now I have been living on Rorik's Lawn and putting 1 gold in the cooking pot every night. I usually harvest from some of the farms and in return I 'protect' their crops. (I just walk the perimeter of Rorrikstead once a day) I'm eating three meals a day but I soon may need to start stealing things.

The two roles I have on my table right now are:
  1. A vigilant of Stendarr, I hunt down Daedra, their worshipers, and undead of any kind. Mostly a very monk-like roleplay, but more fanatic than peaceful fisticuffs
  2. A Berserker, you know from Bloodmoon...having the Stormcloak Bear helm and the Ring of Namira help...

I'm currently running a Character much like Pelinal Whitestrake. (I used him as a base for my Char) He is an Imperial named sanguinor. He is not a mortal but a spirit, He is the Son of Lorkhan (Shor, Shezzar) who was sent to aid mankind against the early Aldmeri. (According to the Monomyth this war was fought between the Aldmeri led by Auriel and Trinimac against the Men led by Lorkhan, my character served as the champion for man at that time). Much like Pelinal, He has a huge resentment against all Elvish races.
As I played Skyrim a little more I tried to tie his story in with Dragons and came up with that he was once again sent from Aetherius or Sovrngarde to Nirn to aid Mankind's struggle against Alduin,
Spoiler:
(This is the time when the old Nordic heroes cast him into the Future). But he was slain by the nine Dragon priests sent by Alduins 'Dragons court' back to Aetherius. But he returned thousands of years later when Alduin returned.
He could by considered Aedric since being a possible descendant of the Et'ada or Padomaic since being considered the son of Lorkhan. This is just to keep my option open during gameplay :D

My character is a Dunmeri spellsword from House Indoril trained in the arts of swordsmanship and fire magic who has left Morrowind in search of a better future elsewhere. After being caught up with the Stormcloaks and narrowly escaping death in Helgen (and losing all his equipment & money), he has decided to put his skills to use and traveled the land as a sellsword and general adventurer. Now that he has a full set of Dwemer armor and plenty of gold, it may be time to settle down and figure his life out. Start doing something really useful. Not sure what yet!

PS. I'm completely ignoring the dragon crisis. And by that I mean I'm not progressing the main quest -- which means no dragons at all.

Im thinking of playing as a vigilant of stendarr, carrying silver weapons or just a steel mace and wearing novice robes of Alteration, amulet of stendarr, steel boots and gauntlets basically running around clearing dungeons of undead and clearing vampire caves and that shizz.
Spoiler:
im also thinking maybe a lost heir of the septim bloodline Being descended from barenziah, after reading the real barenziah books i thought "i could use this!" so after barenziah's child was "removed" the Elvin healer secretly implanted the growing fetus into his own wife not wishing to so cruely take a life before it has begun and such, so she is a decendant of that child being kin of tiber septim, barenziah and the healer she shares Elven and imperial characteristics being elven by birth her eyes, nose and posture befit that of an imperial
