Am I the only one who thinks draugr are awesome?

Hell, there was one that talked to me!

I hate the noise they make, and I hate them. Love to kill them though. And I love the feeling of being in a dungeon and never knowing when someone's going to pop out of the wall and attack you

I think they're pretty awesome, too. Much better than the ones in bloodmoon. Where is the one that talks to you? Is he non-hostile or just likes to chat you up before he attacks?

Or, not as much talk as Fus-Ro-Dah-ing me. But it surprised me that he was shouting.

I like 'em. The ones with beards look like Techno Viking if he'd been mummified.

I'm so glad I'm not the only person who thought this.

I love the draugr, if only because it is well deserved, since they scared the crap out of me in the beginning of the game when I was first tiptoeing oh-so-innocently through a tomb...only to get startled by one that decided to get up and start coming toward me. I still get goosebumps thinking about it!

I freaking love Draugr. They are so much fun to fight! I hated zombies in Oblivion. They were... Eww. Draugr are sooo cool. Their armour, their weapons, their everything... The Dragonshouts, epic boss battles, the scenery and feel of the place is just made by the Draugr. There are epic, awesome killing moves against them.
A relatively MINOR spoiler, no guild or main quest stuff here... Just the location of a cool quest.
Spoiler:
Oh, if you like killing Draugr, and you want a cool little backstory and an epicly overpowered amulet, fast travel to Ivarstead and walk due east along the little Ivarstead plateau, you will pass one Nordic Barrow. The second one you come to should be called Geirmund's Hall or something. Explore. Enjoy.

I love fighting draugr. Much better than the zombies in Oblivion, least of all because they fight like warrior NPCs rather than shambling corpses. I especially love getting a bunch of them into a pool of oil, then lighting them up and watching them writhe. :Twisted Evil:

They're too well done for my pansy-ass. I hate fighting them; I've found whenever I'm in a dungeon I'm putting a fresh fire run around every blind corner (that's a lot of fire runes) and I put off doing dungeons for days just to avoid them. As someone earlier mentioned, I hate the sound they make. I tend to blare music now with headphones on every time I have to do a Draugr dungeon.

I don't get the fear of them, I like them. I'm not a sneaker though, I charge through dungeons throwing lightning bolts around and conjuring atronachs so I rarely get snuck up on

At first glance I just thought "boring and zombie-like" but then when they started shouting words, I quickly changed my mind. They are pretty great to fight especially with a Dragon-shout contest

I love that there are different gender Draugr
Love their armor and their powers
Love how the pop out of everything
Love it when I place a fire rune in front of a closed casket and watch as they explode and flail about.
Hate fighting them when there's a necromancer around...unless I have fire breath...

Ahhh the advantages of not using a sword in the first place :P

I'm so embarrassed that I spelled the title wrong on this....

And the best is, I'm not afraid to go into undead dungeons any more.

Because draugr just can't do subtle. I went past a barrow, killed a couple of bandits outside and thought, heck, I'll kill their friends inside. THen I went inside, and the bandits were dead, and I was like: Well.... crud. Did those outside even know their friends inside were dead?

Being Shouted at and knocked down, 1 Potion 25 Septimss
Being Shouted at and disarmed, watching my Dagger fall off the mountain...200 Septims.
Shouting the same Draugr Overlord off the mountain. priceless

Seriously their disarms are my most hated feature.

I don't recall the sound everyone is talking about. Can someone spell it for me?

Yes, being disarmed is really, _really_ scaring, and I like to get thrilled. It happens so rarely that when it happens, you just loose your fighting plans and everything goes wrong. It usually takes me many seconds to recover and start to either look for the sword, or grab another from inventory.

The only _real_ drawback from being disarmed is that sometimes your very valuable weapon is lost. It may fly through walls, or you loose it to mountains or other open fields.

I just completed the quest where you (Spoiler for Solitude quest)
Spoiler:
defeat Potemna
and after defeating waves of Draugr, including the Deathlord, as I leave there's a lone bearded Draugr just standing there. I can't attack him and he just looks past me as if I weren't there. I guess he was the most easily distracted of the Draugr?

One advantage of the X-Ray vision shout, you can see who's 'alive'.

Or you could just use fire 8) Nothing better than getting a line of Draugr clogged in a hallway and hitting the lot of them with fire breath

I completely agree. For some reason they are my favorite enemy to kill.
