After getting my smithing to 100 and doing some other stuff. I only have 20k gold and im displeased. i have tons and tons of items that i want to sell including lots of dragon bones and scales. i dont feel like making tons of trips back and forth from my arch mage quarters (my stuff is stored in the chest) all the way back to a merchant. where is a city or person that will buy a lot of money worth of stuff for a nice price. ( i can wear price boosting armor too). i only want to make like a max of 3 trips. i have 50 dragon bones and like 60 dragon scales and another few items i cant disenchant and i dont need or anything. the biggest issue is if you try and sell 50-60 dragon bones and scales i will be overweight by like 15,000 pounds (i didnt do the actual math just guessing) and thats worth like idk at least 40k+ ? only merchant ive seen has like 3k. thanks for any help.

p.s. i dont plan on selling all of them.. i plan on saving like 10 of each for dragon armor i wish to create even though i have almost all of it . so dont comment saying to save them! i run into many dragons. i have like 25 unspent souls.

Skyrim is more like Morrowind, than Oblivion in the buying/selling game. Merchants have a certain amount of money, and once they run out, they can not buy anymore of your stuff. Bottom line, any merchant will do.

- You have to buy their stuff, taking a loss, to be able to sell your stuff to them.
- You may even have to buy back items that you previously sold them.
- You have to do this, until you get your Speech and perks up, so that you can actually make good money.
- Even if you can only sell stuff at a 50% loss at the beginning, you are still making money, as you did steal/loot the items.
- It just takes time, patience, and a lot of trips.

For me, it was not an issue, as I do not hoard loots, I sell them when I hit a town, after a raid. I have to make trips back and forth to empy a dungeon of loots anyhow, so I sell what I don't need. I also sell items that I smith and enchant as soon as I am done. Unfortunatley, this also requires many trips back and forth.

Sell stuff, wait 48 hours (in-game) and the sellers money will be replenished. Rinse, repeat.

I sell armor and weapons in Whiterun. You can sell to Adrianne Avenicci, Ulfberth War-Bear, and Eorlund Gray-Mane. Each has just over 1000 gold.

As far as Dragon Scales and Bones, idk. You can only sell those to general goods traders unless you have the perk that lets you seel anything to anybody.
