Unarmed Build

I have been thinking about an unarmed build for a future playthrough. Using the Fists of Steel perk combined with Juggernaut, Well Fitted and Matching Set could result in a fun build! Does being a Khajiit add to this me wonders? They can fight with their claws for 15 points of damage.
I see Smithing being a useful skill to refine your gauntlets for more damage. Enchanting will also be good for improving your gauntlets further. I can't remember if there's a fortify unarmed enchant though.
There is one thing I'm curious of, mainly because I haven't encountered this due to me playing an archer in my current game. If you're dual-wielding, either fists or 2 one-handed weapons, does one have to click both the left and right mouse buttons alternately/simultaneously? I could see this being rather annoying...
What else do you think would add to this build: ideas/suggestions?
Possibly destruction and using the cloak spells to deal extra damage to targets in melee range, and firestorm to blow up opponents close to you?
Do the alteration spells that increase your armor e.g. oakflesh/stoneflesh increase the armor rating of your gauntlets, or just your overall rating?

There isnt a fortify unarmed, but there are potions that do stuff like 20% heavy armor increase for 60secs, and enchantments of 15% stronger improvements on armor, so get enchanting and smithing up, go with khajiit, and put all/most increasements in health seeing as you will be face to face most of the time.

I found a pair of gloves that added +15 damage to unarmed attacks. I can't remember their name though. Also sounds like a fun build, I enjoyed my unarmed characters in Oblivion a lot.

Yep, the added health will be useful. Although, as with melee weapons, added stamina means extra damage due to power attacks (I loved holding down both mouse buttons when just starting my Khajiit archer - you just start clawing your target to death, which amused me

. If there's a good reason to throw in a bit of magic use, extra magicka might be useful.

I found those too but can't remember what they're called - I'm assuming they're in my bags somewhere so will have to check.

Am I correct that unarmed attacks dont count towards the one handed skill?

Haven't tested but I very much doubt it. You essentially want to level your heavy-armor as your main source of damage for this build!

Explain that to me. Is the heavy armor skill determinative of damage from unarmed?

There are enchantments for unarmed damage, items with it are usually called "X of the Pugilist"

There is a perk in the heavy armor tree:
Fists of Steel, 30 Heavy Armor,
Unarmed attacks with Heavy Armor gauntlets do their armor rating in extra damage.

Yes, this I remember. I wonder how many items can be enchanted with this particular enchant.
