where can i find these?

I would like to add to this question. I'm level 14 and the only ore I have been able to find is iron. I like smithing, where should I look for other types of ore?

The Wiki says that ores of various types can be found in different mines, and that you'll need a Pick Axe in your inventory. It also mentions that ore can be found outdoors on the ground. (That point seems like pre-release info, I have no idea if it's been confirmed in-game or not.) Also, you can probably buy ore samples from some vendors.

Sorry if all of that is vague, but that's really all the info I've found so far.

I've been exploring the northern edge of the map. Aside from lag and odd FPS drops, I have found quicksilver on some of the islands there, near shipwrecks. This is vague, but can point you in a direction.

The blacksmith in Solitude sells a lot of of different types of ore and ingots. I also just completed the College of Winterhold main questline and have quite a few mid-level ingots. I'm level 14 also.
