Does Skyrim feel a little too easy to you?

Howdy
I'm playing on Expert difficulty and the game hasn't challenged me in the slightest yet. I'm only level 12, so maybe that'll change as time goes on. I have hundreds of potions, poisons, enough food to feed an army, and I haven't had to touch them once.
Anyone else experiencing this?
I should point out that if I were to solo a group of giants, yes I would find that tough

But the dungeons have been so so easy thus far.

Try going further in quest lines. They get super hard if you do it too early. Especially the College of Winterhold.
EDIT: Also, no, not at all. I'm getting pwned by trolls and sabre cats the whole time, on Adept.

I did encounter a sabre cat some levels ago and that just ripped my face off! But besides the odd strong creature, nothing has been challenging. Will have to see how it goes as I progress further in the game.

I'm still level 2 and honestly I'm having some difficulty fighting mages or big animals. I play on adept.

Easy? I don't think so. Actually I had quite a rough time fighting a dragon near Winterhold and I quickly ran out of potions and mana to heal. And some creatures, like the leveled Draugr are really tough and can take you with a few blows. So no, I don't think Skyrim is easy.

It feels a bit easy sometimes, but sometimes you just get one-shot by an Ancient Dragon or some Draugr Death Overlord who just shoots you with one spell insta death. Should mention I'm level 29 and I have died countless times (thank God for quick save).

I'm playing a steathy archer. I take a melee companion with me and summon atronachs/raise undead to tank for me. Admittedly, since writing the post, I've come up against some tricky situations that were rendered doable with the healthy selection of health potions I had sitting in my bags! I considered raising the difficulty but always assumed the game would get trickier at some point. Haven't had any trouble with dragons; a few times I've had to heal myself because I was caught in the flame breath, but again, I try to use my atronach to grab the attention of it when it lands so I can fire some arrows (poisoned) without needing to move.

I had a similar problem early on...then I ran into a string of Frost Trolls and some random mages that reminded me that I shouldn't get cocky

I don't think the game is easy at all, I've died countless times. The world just feels more dangerous than Oblivion. My first random dragon fight took me about 15 mins and serveral deaths. Even the normal enemies are giving me a tough fight, it's awesome! I'm sure the game gets easier when you level up, like Morrowind, but I hope that it can retain some challange througout. Morrowind lost some of the fun when you could just one hit kill everything.

Nope, Skyrim feels like a challenge. Skyrim feels very much like Morrowind in that regard to me. If you know your limits, you'll be fine. If you charge in thinking you can do it all, you will more than likely get wrecked. I recall only dying a few times my first time in Oblivion, I've played Skyrim about 10 hours, and I'm at level 12, and I've probably died 20+ times. It's a challenge. All of those deaths were deserved though. I wanted to go talk to a giant, I learned my lesson. Next giant I saw, I avoided. Thought a frost troll would be fairly simply with a fire spell, 6 deaths later, I learned to snipe it from afar. I think because enemies are different levels than you, you don't just waltz through them.

Hmm, just encountered my first real test! There is a pack of 5-6 falmers and they're killing me no matter what I do

I usually snipe enemies, but in this case there are just too many! God I wish I had a higher level frenzy spell.... Bet that'd work

I find myself actually having to play tactical, and retry battles. And save some for later. So no, not easy. Figured I can't even progress MQ right now until I gain the ability to smack the monsters camping the way to the place I need to go, soooo.

Hmm...I wish my game was that much of a stroll in the park...I finally backed it down from Adept to Apprentice when I realized that Casters will melt faces and can mess up your day in a heartbeat....

Just to confirm: my conclusion is not that the game is easy. I just happened not to have had any difficult encounters when I wrote that post. The big pack of falmers was causing me a lot of trouble, but I used a scroll I had in my bags that causes all enemies in an area not to attack for 60 seconds. Then I could safely take them all out, one by one! God damn that was an amazing spell. Kinda wish I invested more heavily in the illusion tree - I'm assuming that's the school of magic that has spells like that.

Anybody come across a master vampire yet? No joke, those dudes are tough. Granted I was level 5 when I died repeatedly and haven't been back, but still, bit of a wake up call. I thought fire would surely be the trick to fighting them. Not quite.

I found a Vampire dungeon. They went down quite easy until I reached the area with the much-stronger-vampires.
Also: damn trolls. They just won't go down. And damn chauruses too. If they corner you you're a dead man.

It's starting to get hard for me, playing on Adept. I'm exploring and finding monsters that deal a lot of damage and can take it all as well. Even as a werewolf, i lost to a giant, killed it once with a sliver of health left; then died to a bear right after. Can't kill them at all, yet.
The cap is 70 as well, I think, so we still have a lot of improved versions to see and fight.

I DIE ALL THE TIME! I will have half life and the opponent will kill me with a finishing strike if Im not blocking. And I couldn't be happier to die. I've been beheaded and ran through. I like having to fight with my head and not run into 6 enemies at a time. When I'm not playing smart the game punishes me for it. I have learned to fear enemies with two handed weapons.

I've died a few times but adept doesn't seem tough as long as you do things right. I'm tending to stealth and snipe just at present - Max out bow so I can forget about the skill. Anything too close and I look at switching to Elf Knife & BBQ Streamer

- The trolls were easy, though I did die once exploring.some cave below a waterfall. Darkspire, dark something anyhow. It's east a way from Whiterun. My toughest fight so far was probably a boss bandit in a mission. The terrain enables him to get close if you attack from the south-east as I did which is bad news if you're only using a bow, as I elected to. Far easier if you come from the north and cross over the bridge I'd think.
If it helps I'm level 8 though I've another 8 levels of experience gained but not taken and no perks spent yet.
Correction. My toughest fight's been against a couple of giants. I plugged one with arrows running backwards as I did so and saw his health drop a smidgeon before he closed the gap and clobbered me whereupon I went way way up and then went splat on the ground . Gave up after a few epic fails. Guess I'll revisit when I've better weapons\armour\health...

I'm playing on expert too and I find the game to be really easy-ish considering it's the beginning of the game for my (level 5). So if I know it's only going to get easier from this point onwards, I might just kick it up a notch to Master difficulty.
I'm playing a stealth character as well so I think that might be something to do with it - hit and run tactics work all too well
I guess they finally listened to all the complaints about stealth and archery being underpowered in Oblivion.

@Pandamatak I'd leave it Expert for now - the game has definitly gotten more difficult for me. Still very manageable, but I'm having to be much more cautious and tactical. My companion is dying much more often (I really want to know if there is a difference between different companions besides their combat style e.g. are some companions stronger and less 'squishy'? Are companions that you pay for better than the 'free' ones? (btw I don't mean 'companions' as in the guild)). I'm absolutely awful against melee damage - I got hit so rarely leveling up that my light armour skill is very low. Without my melee companion and conjured creatures I'm dead in seconds! I'm also finding that whilst I could almost one shot enemies with a stealth shot, it's doing considerably less damage now. Time will tell how things will go from here!

I thought I was super strong ((I'm lvl 8 now and currently invest in spell tomes and what not in the mage tree)) did one of the main quest where you have to go in disguise in one of the Thalmor parties. I died to the first set of guards and mages twice. Thank goodness I saved and had fire rune and a few other spells was able to take them out. Now I am on the part to find Esbern I'm hoping to get a break and go get more dragon shouts and lvl up so I can use a few more spells.
On the way out of the cave though after killing the troll and having my followers survive, all three of them, A dragon attacked. And some random npc mage pretty much 1 shot it had this crazy summon horse thing. I got a free dragon soul and bones and what not.

I think with Skyrim it seems this way early on because there is such a huge difference between bandits and higher level stuff. I had it bumped up to Master and was wrecking Draugr etc, but then I went into a Vampire Lair and fought a dragon, both of which owned me, and I turned the difficulty back to Adept.

Yes, but my companion had run ahead and killed him. Anti-climatic, huh? Some of these followers are godlike :B I am not mentioning any names, cause spoilers.
I've left another guy mid-quest in a cave because we really cant handle what comes next (died several times), he can rot there until I get stronger
