Well The normal version is half the price of the Collectors one, what are the exact differences?
Thanks very much.

The Collectors Edition is a hardcover version, with special Skyrim Art, plus bound-in ribbon bookmarks, a poster map and free access to an online world map otherwise worth 15 dollars.

Also iPad map app, which I think is pretty cool.

Oops, forgot that, not having an iPad
Also, from what I've seen on the net, you can get the Collector's Edition fro the same price as the normal Game Guide. Around A$40-50, unless I've only been seeing really overpriced standard editions.

So the actual written content is the same? (I'm not too bothered about fancy ribbons etc)
As for price here in the UK on ebay the normal one is £25 while the copllectors is £200 -£100!? And I have seen a few at £50 but thats still alot to pay for a ribbon hard cover and some fancey online map.

I have the collector's edition. I got a free use map but I think it came with the collector's edition game not guide but I got all that stuff. Still trying to figure out how to navigate it better as it's tricker than Oblivion's game guides.

Just checked out Book Depository, both UK & US, and they're out of game guides. I paid about $30 for mine but the pbk's still available from Amazon for US$16 plus shipment and item costs.
Hmm. Quick Google. Found a US$38 version on e-bay -

Myself, I just figured it was the covering that was the main difference for price. Wasn't aware of any ribbons or poster map. Won't be complaining for bonus content of course

The iPad app might come in very handy while playing. Alt tabbing seems to destabilise the game. Do it too often and Skyrim crashes so to have a portable digital map would be good. Don't suppose this edition also comes with a free iPad?
