No - not that kind of escort!

I've just picked up my first escorting job. I've got to escort this guy's daughter to the Mage's Guild by the 24th of the month - which is tomorrow.

Well I took her there, took her inside. There's no one else around. I wandered
about then went back outside and she's still with me.

How do I get rid of her so I can go back to the father and collect payment? I tried 'dropping' her from the equipment page but that doesn't work. Or do I have to actually deliver her the next day rather than earlier?

That would mean I'd have to spend the night in an inn. (Well I'm not going to
pay for 2 singles! )

Wait till the daytime and see if that doesn't work.

You need to speak to the guild steward. (Or one of them, sometimes there are several.) Sometimes they can be really tricky to find, hiding in the shadows between two rows of bookcases, but they are there somewhere! Unless of course if you did indeed enter the mageguild during the night, but then you must have picked the lock at first, which you are very unlikely to suceed with as a low level spellsword. Also, you wouldn't be alone in there, there would be mages and skeletons and things attacking you for trespassing!

There should be no lower timelimit, meaning you should be able to deliver her as soon as you receive the quest.

Went back in and found him sneakily in one of the corners.
