How are you going to "Close shut the jaws, of Oblivion"?

Or to elaborate, how are you going to end your reign in Oblivion, and begin Skyrim? Are you going to do anything special to your character? Continue Oblivion? Have a personal event?
I am going to leave behind a legacy of my main character (fittingly a Nord, didn't even make it fitting on purpose XD) that my Skyrim character will find and continue. Tell your story below!

Well I cant shut its jaws because I ran out of tape....
Anyway, I am THE most powerful mage in all of Cyrodiil, so once I reach the long, hard and cold road to Skyrim, I'll have frostbite...and a new area to show my skills to and reign over.
Behind me, the guilds stand in open protest of the fact there are skeletons in the Arcane University...I put them there.
And I will make Necromancy legal, or all will DIE!

I take it you are going to practice necromancy to keep your character alive? Skyrim takes place 200 years after the Oblivion events after all...

Indeed! Although it may take a while.
May end up a lich like someone else tried to do back in Cyrodiil...

I'm playing it on very hard at the moment. It isn't like this is the last time i'll ever play oblivion anyway. As for my canon character well he is also my morrowind character so he is immortal so will just keep traveling. I'm using a descendant of him in Skyrim anyway.

Meh, I am ready for a new TES game, playing Oblivion for years and years is kinda dullish now...plus I have that problem of making a new character every 5 hours .-. Have 4 characters planned for Skyrim so far (Nord warrior, Nord Necromancer, Dunmer Mage, Dunmer Dagger Assassin, need to fit an archer in somewhere...prolly argonian). I honestly need to just delete all my characters besides the one(s) i play on the most lol

Trying to complete as many quests in the game as I can. Trying also to buy all the houses (So far I have Imperial City, Bruma which is my favorite, Chorrol, and Skingrad) and delay the main quest so I can have Martin and Jauffre tag along to help out in closing Oblivion gates. It gets lonely in there sometimes.
On November 10th, my character will take a seat in his Bruma house, look over his mementos of adventuring, and feel proud of himself. For his adventures are just beginning.

I'm not going to kill my character.
I am currently using a character, that is a dark mage, and is killing every mage in the mages guild and all the counts and guards of the cities. Then I'll go kill Ocato and proclame myself Emperor of Cyrodiil. Then I'll start dedicating my life to necromancy and discover a way to become immortal, but as I use the spell that will make me immortal, I don't have enough power and I get immortal, but weakened. Since I get too weakened to maintain superiority over the guards and the population I have to run away to some cave and start studying, using summons to find the information.
My first character is skyrim is going to be the continuation, his quest will be to regain his powers, now that after years of studying he found a way to only have to train to get powerful again. And then, I'll see what there is to do in Skyrim to continue that character

I'm desperately trying to finish the Thieves' Guild; that way I've done everything once, I think. When Skyrim was announced, I was all like "sure, I'll finish it way before then". Then I found Shivering Isles/KOTN dead cheap in Game. Now I'm running out of time.

Most of my Oblivion characters were rolled over from Morrowind (it was only 5 years later, and none of them became the Nerevarine so I went with it). Taking into account the time frame of Skyrim, most of them would have died decades ago.
I do have a Dunmer that would be getting up there in years, but I might bring him back for another adventure. Otherwise, my old characters went on with their lives after the Oblivion Crisis, and I'll cook up a whole new batch for Skyrim.

I'll just have my characters trek all the way up into the Jeralls and take a
very long nap.
The cold should preserve them for a good two hundred years.
That, or hire
Earil for a little job...

Well my character is immortal, in terms of not aging.
So he'll still be alive and well by the time he gets caught up in Skyrim.

Well he has a split personality between his normal self and an apparition of Sheo's consciousness, his Madgod side (which he gained from Sheo before he became Jygalag, as a farewell prank of his of course).
Thus he inherited immortality, from the Daedric powers instilled in his Madgod side.

Well...I hear tell that the main character in Skyrim is supposed to be the last Dragonborn...
That being said I don't want that Emperor or that shifty priest fellow as my relatives...
That being said I'm going to find a mud crab and let it kill my character before I play Skyrim ^^! What an epic way to go!

Im gonna have my Oblivion character die heroically and with dignity in an Arena battle. Then people will remember the Champion of Cyrodiil forever

Didn't have anything planned. Since I had about 8 playthroughs now, each with 50+ hours, I just can't seem to boot that game up without thinking "meh..."
I just find it easier to talk about this game, since I have so many fond memories of it. So I'll probably just RP that my latest character (a thief/assassin) who is in fact immortal (100% reflect damage, 100 % resist magic), will vanish in some way - forever remaining the mystery and legend of "the Champion of Cyrodiil".

People don't remember people who lose though .-. You could have it be like...some assassin poisoned the other team member blade

I have just finished replaying my favorite canon character in Oblivion (new console so lost all previous play throughs) a bosmer marksman/thief.
I think I'll RP that her decendant is exciled from Valenwood for crimes similar to what made my character famous and heads to Skyrim in the hopes that the Civil War would lead to a breakdown of law and order.
(Yes I spent a lot of time thinking about it)

My character in Oblivion dropped dead in her old age inside the Vile Lair, however she had relations with Martin which is why her descendant is the Dragonborn.
You see?
I'm a genius.

I'm in the middle of a nostalgia run now: I created a new character in the vein of my original (one-handed melee specialist), and I'm hitting all of my favorite quests again before the new release. My original character has been gone for some time, the first in a long line of Heroes, but I'm bringing back the unsophisticated play style with which I began 5 years ago.
I'm not going to try to finish everything; I've already done that three or four times, but some of the more memorable quests, like "A Brush with Death," some of the Daedric quests, and so on, deserve one last lap before I put away Oblivion for a while. To cap the "closing shut" celebration, I'll leave my Hero where he began: the Imperial Prison, perhaps in full armor to show how far he's come, or perhaps in sackcloth, wondering if he's truly grown at all.

Finishing the Shivering Isles quests
Trying to get around this glitch that prevents me from killing Mannimarco and (finally) become arch mage
Master blade and a few other skills
Kill everyone
