Guilds of Skyrim.

It has come to my attention that not all guilds present in TES 5 are available in one campaign.
Some of you may be aware of the fact that you cannot join both the Stormcloacks and the Imperial Army but can only choose one or the other. Although you can join multiple guilds as always, I wondered what guilds people most want to join.

I always only make one character and join one faction to make it realistic and the faction I always join is the Dark Brotherhood

I just can't decide. I've always gone for the Dark Brotherhood at first, but with magic being so improved on now, I might change my style completely and go College of Winterhold... argh, they're just all so awesome...

I tend to make one character for each Guild/Archetype anyway, this is more a case of which one I want to do first, since they're all so tempting.

I think for a final decision... I'm going to say... Coll- Dar- Compan- Dark Brotherhood. Yes. Dark Brotherhood, if I had to pick one.

I enjoyed DB most in Oblivion, but since I'm planning on playing a pure mage this go around, I'm definitely most interested in the college. I don't know if I'll even take sides in the Stormcloaks/Imperial Army conflict unless I see some compelling reason other than to get more quests

My Kha'jiit character will join the Thieves Guild, but she may later join the Stormcloaks as she prefers Nords over Imperial scum. My Dunmer Assassin will join the Dark Brotherhood, obviously. My Nord blacksmith probably won't join any guild. My arrogant mage will probably lie her way into the College of Winterhold.

Same here what I will probably do is just be in the DB and make up contracts to kill people from either side my only allegiance will be the Brotherhood

After reading way too many discworld novels I'll have to start out with a battlemage, not because Rincewind was much of a wizzard, but because of how wonderfully magic itself was described. I know TES magic isn't the same thing, but that still won't change a thing.

The college sounds incredibly interesting, it'll be nice not having to do reccomendation quest. *Touches wood*

Also the Stormcloaks. Viva la Skyrim!

I laugh at your absurd plot! Without the authority of the Empire, Skyrim will crumble under the arguing of its petty Jarls!

Yes, I might add that I'll be going Imperial Legion.

Spoiler:
Considering that the Imperials were going to execute you, just because you were sitting next to the Jarl of Windhelm, I think you might reconsider.

For me Imperial army sounds more tempting than the Stormcloacks as it was supposedly their leader who murdered the high king, although I may be wrong. Besides Skyrim is better of being part of the empire.

I voted for the College of Winterhold, mainly due to the perks that I figure would come with it magic-wise
but if I was going solely quest-wise, I'd have probably voted Dark Brotherhood.

I voted the College of Winterhold, mainly because I'm planning on playing a hardcore mage and the only way to prove that I am the best is to rise through their ranks and slaughter all of them to prove my supremacy.

Thieves Guild. I love being a Robin Hood kind of character.

I reserve judgement until the game comes out to pick favorites.

I'll play through all of them eventually, but I voted Stormcloaks. My first character will be a patriotic Nord warrior, so he'll want to see his homeland rid of Imperial tainting.

I chose the Dark Brotherhood. I liked them in
Spoiler:
Tribunal
, but I was not a big fan of them In Oblivion.

Morag Tong is cool too, wish them and the DB could get along :P

Imperial Army, battles are the best part of all Bethesda games you'd be lying if you said you never enjoyed Bruma, Kvatch, Sutch, Imperial City, Cylarne, Passwall, etc.
And I'd be disappointed if I never go to participate in any of them.

Those aren't Imperial army battles, unless you mean you were RP'ing as a Imperial soldier and then participated in those battles.

I think he's just listing battles in TES gaming history in-general.
