Website for more info on the hardcore challenge mode: removed!
This is a list of things you can do to make your immersion in Skyrim much more pleasing. Now, this list is only ideas. If you don't like something, just simply don't do it.
1. - Obtain a journal, preferably leather bound. Maybe one that is made to look old and authentic. It's up to you.
2. - Create a personal background for your character. Why did he/she trek into Skyrim? Why were they arrested and set for execution? Keep track of your day in the journal with daily entries. Also, be sure to date it. This can include quests you took, people you met, creatures you fought, map entries.
3. - No use of the in game map. You may either draw your own maps of the area, or use the map you receive when buying the game. Making notes in your journal about specific areas may help.
4. - Though the game does not require it, eating food and sleeping regularly may help with the overall immersion effect.
5. - Feel free to post in the Tavern and share your stories with other people. This forum serves as a sort of hub for the game like a real tavern might. You never know what you might pick up on.
6. - For extra difficulty, if your character dies your story with them ends.
7. - No fast traveling. On foot and horse only. Unless you can somehow RP as to why you fast traveled.
What are your thoughts? Anything to add?
