Okay, well, as the title says, this is about politics. Here you can discuss recent or old politics, parties, Wings, as in left and right, and anything else that would fall under the category.
Be warned though, there will be no flaming or attacking others beliefs. Please don't say your opinion is better than anyone else's, they are equal. Enjoy.

I'm slightly left and super liberal. I won't bore you with any more than that.

I'm Labour. I disagree with the Con-Dem cuts. They are blunt and damaging. They are hacking at a bush instead of pruning it.

I'm happy ignoring the fate of humans, but I believe in a good separation between the market, and the government. The government's job is to provide services, protect people's rights, and regulate the market (while not effecting it too badly). Other than that, everyone should be allowed to do whatever the hell they want.

I try to not concern myself with politics too much, but when it comes down to it, I'm pretty moderate, but also kind of liberal. I suck at debating, though, so I'll leave that to everyone else.

I seem to be a liberal, though I don't think I understand politics too much.

My opinion.
Polly, from the Latin language, to mean 'many'.
Tics, to mean 'blood sucking creatures'.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

Rule of thumb in politics for you guys.
The best way to understand politics is to play civilizations. It's exactly like that. Everyone is trying to beat everyone else. Even their friends. This rule also applies to business.

THATS A BIIIINGO.
But anyway. I am GOP. The means the Grand Old Party, another name for the Republican party. Problem with them is that there are too many RINOs. Makes you wanna go fascist.

American politics went to hell after the 60's. At least it hasn't gone to Roman Politics... yet.
Ack... what am I saying. The whole country went to hell after the Reconstruction.

I'm a conservative, and would consider myself a member of the Republican Party of America.
I think I'm one of the 10 non-Christian Republicans in the nation.

I would consider myself more left leaning, and I support Canada's New Democratic party. However, I am Christian and I support Canada's role in Afghanistan.

Cam votes for the Cthulhu party, because he sees no point in voting for a lesser evil.
Myself, I don't really support any party, but I would side with the Pirate Party. And no, that isn't a joke. They believe in reducing government surveillence, reforming copyright law, and freedom of speech, three things that I firmly agree with.

Rassilon, what would your reforms be? I thought you were a budding author? How would you like it if I basically copied your book?

Ahh, I should be clear. They want to prevent the use of patents to manipulate prices, and basically tone down some of the excessivness of copyright protection. They also want to legalise file sharing for non-commercial purposes. I would never support stealing work, but I would support getting some of those stupid situations where a woman downloads a song and gets sued for $20000 or whatever (Sure, in my eyes that's about £20 because it's American and therefore isn't real money, but still.) That still happens depressingly often, thanks to the companies liking to scam people. Getting rid of copyright law fully? That would be terrible, and something I would be strongly against. Getting rid of it so the rich can't screw the normal people? Highly agreed.
Then again, I've always been against that type of copyright in the first place. If I release anything, I usually say Kopyleft: do what you want as long as you credit the original creator of whatever it is. There's a difference between sharing a short story with a friend without fear of getting sued, and claiming it as your own work and trying to make money of it. First one, I'd view as okay. Second, bad and should stay illegal.
