What would your reaction if skyrim is bad?
I have this underlying fear, which sometimes manifests itself as bad dreams, that skyrim is going to end up awful like new vegas was to the fall out series.
I cannot see how this would be possible, but i do not think i could go on in life if bethesda cocked this one up!

That's a bit extreme! You could always just go back and play TES game that you liked the most.

Honestly I think the game will be fine, as long as I can introduce a giant battle-axe to the guy who looked in my general directions face then take his stuff and desecrate his corpse, I'll be happy.

Yeah i know, but the hype has just got me so excited.
Its the little things that will make this game im sure.

Anyway, if Skyrim is bad, I'm sure there are tons of other games to play. Not that I think it would be bad.

There's always gonna be little disappointments, but I doubt the game will be straight up BAD.

I'd kill just to play the early demos.

Heh, people are always split over New Vegas. I personally thought it was terrible.

As for the possibility of Skyrim being terrible? Well I have plenty of games to play.

Well not everybody is going to be happy. I'm not happy with the removal of Blade and Blunt on top of the removal of Axe, short and long blade from Morrowind.

Well, it's hard to say that it is bad or not as, in the end, it will ultimately be your opinion. Spiney, you may think that the removal of those things make it worse, and you are certainly entitled to think that, however, for others, the removal of those things may take away the complexity that really stopped them from really getting into Oblivion. Personally, from what I've seen, Skyrim looks amazing. The graphics are the crème of the crop and the movement looks fantastic and fluid.

Graphics don't make a game.

And the extra skills is what made Elder Scrolls realistic to a point.

If Skyrim is bad... we throw an Australian off a cliff.

Well you have to allude to something else as well, not use it as a sole example.

I also remarked on the fluidity of the movement. I could also type about the many other reasons that I like about Skyrim so far, but it would take too long.

If you're going to be pedantic let me add this:
Spiney didn't say that the game would be bad. He simply said that he wasn't happy about the removal/replacement of certain skills.

I know that, but I was just saying that were people see faults, others see masterpieces. At first, I wasn't entirely sure that the removal of the skills was for the best, but Bethesda has won me over with their explanation.

Personally, I, like you, can't wait to cook some horker stew!

As long as I can have a blade, I can join a guild good or evil, I can make my own decisions good and evil, and I can use spells then in my opinion Skyrim is going to be good.

Then I won't play it much. I think it'll be pretty good, Bethesda has a good track record of making good games. Otherwise, none of us would be here.

@Spiney, we all liked Morrowind, but Skyrim will be a different experience. On another note, I would play it because I'm not about to waste 60$ no matter how much it sucks.

I thought New Vegas was pretty fun. Not as good as Fallout 3, but not bad.


... Now BRINK. There's a game that Bethesda should be ashamed of even having their name on...

They only published it though. They had no say in the making of the game, well, they probably did but not much.
