I saw a mudcrab the other day...

...nasty creatures. I hope to never hear about them again.
Seriously, I've gotten extremely tired of hearing the same generic lines over and over. In some demo videos of Oblivion, specifically this one, there was much more variety. So what happened? And what does this mean for Skyrim? Are we going to have NPCs standing around complaining about horkers all day long? Will we have a useless rumor topic again?

More voice actors, better AI system, more lush environment.

I think it's pretty obvious they will.

Well, the technology has came a lot further in 5 years. I doubt that it will be perfect and work seamlessly, but it'll probably be better than in Oblivion.

Hopefully not but with all the advancements in graphics, jobs, and how creatures react they probably will have generic lines because they don't have enough space for having more original lines.

Yeah, considering the amount of space on a DVD, and that Bethesda probably won't exceed that, I don't expect too much improvement on the number of lines.

I thought that the lines about mubcrabs and other generic lines were a good idea considering Morrowind's dead cities, but in practice they were pretty annoying.

"See any elves? HAHAHAHA!"

With the PS3 using blueray discs, would they add to that version?

Unlikely because they don't tend to have differences in platform versions, but you never know. They've already confirmed that the PC version will have different menus and higher res textures and so on.

I'd be shocked if they added more to the PS3 version. Adding more voices is too expensive to do it for only one platform.

My thoughts deep-down too, but it is a pity for them not to utilise new storage technology, particularlly when it can give much more than DVDs.

Still, PCs aren't even at the point where Bluray discs are common, maybe by TESVI?

well the conversations willl be limited... you will obviously here the same one sometimes if you put a lot of time into the game....It would be cool if they included someting from the oblivion demo, where npcs knew each others names..

"I saw city-swimmer do blah blah blah" "oh yeah shes a weird one"

How can I help you?

and half the rumors didn't even lead to anything exciting.

Know what's funny about that vid? One of the comments pointed out the City of Sutch at 6:12. Haha, what should have been.

I think though that when it comes to the VA's, Bethesda will hold to that promise. They got a lot for Fallout 3, certainly much more variety then what we got in Oblivion. The rest though, as the vid points out, may be shown in demos now; but later on at release we could see a lot of it stripped. Here's hoping though that Bethesda is planning on holding to what's been mentioned.

I think they are good though. Bethesda is a company that learns from their mistakes, from what I've seen in my short time as a fan that is.
