The Book of Death

I proclaim myself a writer, yet I haven't written much. Most of my creative ideas stay locked up inside my mind for future use and it's not rare that I forget them. So I've decided not to let this happen as much any longer.

My ideas come to me all the time, by seeing various everyday things like landscapes, plants and people. Sometimes they come to me in my sleep or when I walk home from school. One of my biggest clusters of ideas that I have never taken the time to write any portion of down are death scenes. I have dozens of death scenes in my mind all the time. So I've decided to neatly write them down in a fitting notebook and perhaps type them or scan them and post some of them here for your enjoyment. But to start this I need advice. Which notebook should I use for this?
Cover #1 or Cover #2?

Thank ye kindly in advance. Both for helping me with the decision and for reading.

Cover 1. Cover 2 is just... strange...

I think you should use the second cover. It looks more fitting for all your gruesome death scenes you have in mind.

I wish you luck in your writing, Mister Mars. Have fun!

Just as a note:
Not all of these death scenes will be gruesome. Maybe I'll write about a happy old man's last day.

Cover 1 makes me think the story will be about a female dancer, but no. 2 makes me think of a fairground...

@ Mars~ That will be nice, I'm sure. If he's happy when he goes, then it will be even better.

I prefer the second cover, it just seems to portray death better. I don't know how to explain it :?

Did you draw those?

Anyhow, the second one seems more fitting, reminds me of scary stories and such... very neat

Haha, no I didn't. I bought them a while ago and I just scanned the covers.

Cover 2 because it could be about a murdering physco, who associates killing with a carnival.

Cover 2.
This is coming from the most balls-out awesome guy ever. So. Pick it.

And no, "balls-out" does not mean what you think it means.

Cover 1 looks more soulful.

Cover #1 conjures to mind the 'Beauty of death', still-life, life and death represented in unison, or traditional art found in terrifying/abstract mediums
Cover #2: Whimsical and macabre, haunting and nostalgic, warm thoughts and looming depression;

Take that how ever you want, but I feel the second cover would represent a wide range of stories better than the first

Cover 2. It is strange, abstract, haunting, and somehow eerily soothing. Almost as if it is a place of horribly macabre and dark beauty, somewhere in between good and evil... Life and death... Yep, there goes my philosopher side.

Mm... two seems to portray death better. One reminds me of my best mates diary...

The first cover is a no. The second cover reminds me of the ferris wheel in Pripyat. The city is the biggest ghost town in the world and that image was a good representation of how "dead" the city has become due to the radiation from the explosion in the CNPP. When you look at images of Pripyat you see and feel the deathly still and the near-dread from the ruins of once was one of the Soviet's most modern cities.

There is nothing quite like the death of a city.

If anyone has played S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat or MW3 then you will know exactly what I mean. Just creepy.

I hopw this helps... :(

You know, that cover 2 even depicts death perfectly. Death is a horribly beautiful process, and that cover just bleeds with character and personality that cleverly and eerily shows death subconsciously..

Despite the fact I agree with both of your statements, Vw, you really need to stop quoting yourself, it's getting kinda creepy....

I didn't need to quote myself... I just thought they were related to each other... Paradox!
