After character creation, I plan to find the nearest bookstore and stay there until I've read every new piece of literature it has.
Anyone out there with more interesting ideas?

Find the nearest enemy and bash it over the head, get drunk with power and then venture into the nearest dungeon and to an early grave...
...Humbled, I head to the nearest city and grab anything of worth to pawn off to buy armor, until I grab/steal an item, get caught by the guards, resist arrest because I'm poor and I don't want to lose my stuff and head straight to my second premature grave...
..Then I sell the shirt off my back to buy some mead to drink myself...well you get the picture...

Hmm . . . i have decided that skyrim will be my first time playing through one of these games as an orc . . . so presumably the first thing I will do (seriously this time) is sell my pants.

I usually try to find a pair of purple pants (or as close to purple) and run around shirtless, bashing peoples heads in and jumping on roof tops

Same thing I did in Oblivion - completely ignore fast travel (though admittedly, I didn't know fast travel existed for a good day and a half), and the quest marker, and just play. Or jump into the story line, depending on how engrossing it is.
