Your start plan.

Hello!
I'm new so sorry if there is already a thread for this, but I'd like to have a little game where you can share your ideal game start, I.E mine is to go to either IC, or some other city (depending if I have Light or heavy armor) trespass(5 bounty), go to jail, kill the jailor with a nice touch-destruction spell, nab his armor and be on my way (for plus 50 or so bounty). (don't blame me for my newbishness)
That's my usual evil start, if I get a murder bounty (+1k and the paparazzi) I just serve my time since there isn't much to lose at level 1...
Some rules:
-Keep it moderately short
-Don't go coordinates step by step (Walk 30 steps to x-30 y-300)
-No inappropriate details (After killing him I T-bagged the half-naked corpse for 30 minutes)

My Dark Brotherhood character roleplays her 'day job' as a City Guard for the city of Cheydinhal. Winning the Jewel of the Rumare from the "Go Fish" quest, plus unlocking the Well behind the Mages' Guild of Cheydinhal, means that she can get the Guard armor for the city without directly killing one of them— a small fine and a big load of water does the job for her.
Of course, the armor is nothing without the other gear. Before taking the trek to Cheydinhal, she steps into the first level of Vilverin to pick up the Green Robe Hood lying there, plus any and all Leather armor pieces she can nab from hard-set locations (a pair of Leather Gauntlets are in Fort Farrugut near Cheydinhal, for example). Cheydinhal's armor has the grace of being a leather jacket over a chainmail armor, so
it provides a unique look.

When playing a stealthy character, I always join the thieves guild and then break in to all of the shops in the imperial city. Some of them have some pretty good stuff. I also take the gold from the arena safe box, and then the enchanted gauntlets from the two npcs that are training for the arena.

I always raid Vilverin for anything I can sell when not roleplaying. Then it's straight to the Imperial City Market to sell basically everything I won't use. I search the barrels for a nice set of clothing, sometimes torches and whatever else I can find. Then, I wander the countryside until I find Aleswell. Free house.
Also, welcome Gavon. Head to the Welcomes and Goodbyes thread if haven't already to introduce yourself.

To be honest I hardly ever go through ruins for loot, I wait till I'm level 15-2x so I get the best random loot possible.

As you start off in the game as:
-Homeless
-Poor
-Weak
-Alone
-Unknown
I normally like to make a name for myself and make some friends. Being a warrior themed character I head straight for the arena, and partake in fights for my money, which I then use for rooms at Hotels and for food. Hotels are where I make friends and get to know people. If somebody has a job for me, I'll do it, especially if it helps me get aqquainted with local shop keepers. Eventually, when I have 1000 coins to spare and I am reasonably fondly known of in the Imperial City, I'll leave and head towards Weyon Priory. On the way I'll stop at any Inns I encounter, staying at each one for 2 days. On the first day I'd sleep and eat, the second day I'd walk around, sepak to the inhabitants, and wait for the next Imperial Patrol Horse which I can use as an escort along the roads. I would repeat this until I reached the Priory.

I hold off the main quest as long as possible since I don't enjoy running into a damn Oblivion Gate every 30 feet ^^

@Gavon: You're missing out on many opportunities to practice your skills and easy loot to sell at low Levels. Remember that enemies level WITH you, so are easy to beat at ANY Level providing you have the right tactics (er, Restore Health potions, mainly). Also, a dungeon respawns when you next enter it after 3 days without a visit, so it will keep refilling with new enemies and, as you level up, better loot.

I do the same thing with the Main Quest. I do not go to Kvatch until I am ready to play thru the Main Quest. I do not want NPC's who travel, to wander upon an Oblivion Gate, that is close to a road, and there are quite a few... this causes their untimely death.
After Ahdarji's Heirloom, the countess is no longer marked as essential. This mistake, paired with her Chorrol-related bug, could result in her untimely death and interfere with the Sanguine quest.
There are two OB Gates near Leyawiin, and she can travels by both of them, during her travel to Chorrol, and I have seen her dead there. There is also a Gate right near the Bravil Gate. If you are on PC, with the UOP, then you are safe, but if you are on PS3, or 360, then you are borked...

It depends on what I'm doing
but the most used two are
A: form the prison I go hunt dear (if i have a bow) or another animal and make my profit as a hunter, then buy the water front house
and keep hunting, afrer a few levels i go in to the ruins over the lake, and start "treasure hunting" then I start to colect things and put them in the house on display, and sell things, then I go to the next smallest house and buy it, repeating
in till I get to skingrad, then I go to the DLC fort
B: I make my Guy's story and have an objective
(kill every one in the game)
(master all skills)
(collect all items)

Ah thanks H8tball, I had an account on this earlier and put a thread about the best places to go through for loot and bandits, but I got a reply saying that I should hold off from doing that since valuable random loot could be missed, I never thought bandits or humanoids respawned

I immediately go get Vamped, then I stay at the boat inn to transform, and while out at sea, massacre that bandit gang.

I usually go to the boat inn too but I saw the reward was leveled so have been avoiding it.

I usually go straight to the market district and sell everything I don't need. Then, I go to the arena for a quick 5000 gold, also doing the gray prince's quest which makes him an easy kill. Then, I go do the Dark Brotherhood, because you get a quick place to stay and a lot of good/decent items. Then I choose what I want to do next, buy a house, join some other guild, complete the story etc.

Since I have the Alternate Beginnings mod, I usually start off in Anvil to start the Fighter's Guild quests for some quick gold. Then move eastward!

I usually (1) do the Arena (2) buy Imperial City house (3) join whichever guild I'm RPing. After that, anuthing's possible.

My gameplan for every character
> exit sewers
> kill bandits outside Vilverin
> fast travel to market district, sell loot from bandits and sewers
> go complete Arena, play it until I can afford Imperial City house
> buy house
From there each character goes off into a different thing. For some reason I don't feel complete till I've got my Adoring Fan <3

I'm surprised at how many people immediately finish the arena quest, you can loot the level dependent sword and shield off of the Gray Prince, so I wait for a good set.

-Exit Sewers
-Travel to the Market District
-Sell everything
-Maybe do the Arena
-Depending on my class, either do FG, TG, or MQ
After that, maybe buy a house in Chorrol or Cheydinhal, and do random stuff such as explore.
