Okay so there is already a magic/shield/weapon combination post but what weapons/spell types/shields DO you want to use first?
For me, I really want to try a smaller 1h axe along with a round shield.
What about you?

I can't wait to try my hand at archery in the new game. That portion of the trailer really sparked my interest.

Yeah just the animation of him drawing back an arrow made me stop gawking at the animation of that wolf running. So I had to replay it, for the 50th time.

Honestly? Everything. There's no one thing that really pops out, it's a mixture of all kinds of things. I'm most looking forward to just starting up the game and seeing what it's all about. If I HAD to pick, it's just how gorgeous the game looks. I want to see that on my 32" HD TV.

Definitely Sword and Sword. I also want to try Spell and Spell. Maybe an destruction spell and restoration spell.
It would be interesting if you could fight hand to hand while having a spell assigned to each hand. That way, you can punch them, and absorb their health or something at the same time.

Haha I don't care if you criticize me for this, but i'm buying an HD TV mainly just because of Skyrim, is that bad??

Magic!
My favorite skill in any game.

I have no idea why but magic always fascinated me in other games, but in Oblivion it was just so....repetitive I guess.
I hope they make me want to play a mage in Skyrim, the magic looks really promising.
My main hope for Skyrim's magic is that they make telekinesis an attack AND steal spell.
Make it kinda like Bioshocks but 123124 times better!

Oblivion magic just wasn't right for me either, I always used mods for it, but judging from a few of the spells I saw in the trailer im pretty excited for it.

Blackfire, I want to say that i'm really sorry for being such a jerk to you. I tend to be a jerk alot and I feel really bad about it. You seem like a cool guy with great opinions. .... and everyone on my dads side of our family is extremely christian too... Just imagine it, my grandma had 9 kids, try having them all in one room when they all think I was raised poorly, just because I dont go to church frequently O_o

I'm just excited to bring my Argonian character into the game. Then I'll have played the same Character through (or made him in) all the TES games.

Hopefully we will get to see screenies of all the races soon.

Yeah khajiit is mine too, khajiit thief is what I usually always go for or argonian asassin
I really want to make a khajiit polearm user, just a fierce hunter kinda thing
or an argonian craftsman/merchant
either way, I've loved the beast races since I first played Morrowind in Elementary school...
Bosmer right after those two though, just love their lore and unique personalities!
but yeah i'm positive they are going to look beyond fabulous!
I am hoping to see EVERY hair on the khajit and I want them to look way scary
as for argonians, I want them to just look beautiful and intimidating at the same time. I wanna see their scales shine!
No races are as just enthralling as the beast races!

My favorite race is khajiit, I like a fierce look on khajiits, my favorite weapons are polearms, im into the hunter-type stuff, and I've always thought argonians could use some hd scales...... Turns out our opinions aren't so different after all

Yeah I love Hircine and I wish they will make hunting an actual career option on Skyrim.
First things first though, I care for a axe/buckler wielding scout type khajiit over hunter for the moment

but yeah, just love the whole hunter idea in ES but even with a large abount of roleplay involved, it never really comes true :/

First thing I'm going to try are bows. From the looks of the trailer,bows looked awkward to use at close range. Also,being attacked makes you drop the arrow,right? I think all of this this will be compensated by that large damage boost they were talking about. Bows weren't all that powerful in Oblivion,mainly because of the tiny 3x damage multiplier in Sneak Mode. Hopefully in Skyrim,these powerful bows will get a better damage multiplier when in Sneak Mode,and will be a more strategic and tactial weapon. And as a fellow Hircine lover,I really hope that hunting will play a larger role in Skyrim. The part of the trailer with the hunter ambushing the deer hopefully says it will.
