I'm hoping for the Elven armor from Oblivion makes its way back, but what other armors!?!?

Daedric. Sure,it gets boring after a while in Oblivion,but I would still miss it.

it would be nice if daedric armor was rare like it was in morrowind. the daedric helmet variations were pretty cool too.

nordic trollbone armor would be sick, especially if they made a full set.

I would like to be able to add a fur trim to all my armor, should I choose. I mean, this is Skyrim we're talking about. I agree on Daedric armor being more rare. I always found it offputting that at higher levels, NPCs would be running around wearing it, and that made no sense to me.

I would like to see saviours hide again. And this time, actually looking as good as it's GND

Which armour on page 49, and how do you know what it is? What are you referring to on page 58?

well in page 49, the page that says "names to remember"

the guy at the top with the gold armor that carry a kind of torch and a sword, that is elven style, its like the style of the elven horse armor and kind of oblivion's elven armor

and about the glass morning star, well its green glass as the previous glass things in oblivion

I dunno. I suppose it could be elven, but to me it only bears a passing resemblance at best. Really, only the helmet, and even then only because of the crests at the top. It's not the same at all, though. Those look like wings whilst the ones on elven helms look more like horns. The armour itself reminds me more of scale armour than anything. I'm not saying you're wrong, but I'm not so sure.
As for the other, I don't see it or see it mentioned. Sure you have the right page? Perhaps I'm somehow overlooking it.

well is not exactly the same, and also in the screenshot where the hero is fighting against wind serpents that sword remind me the elven sword

Ohhh... I see what you mean. I misunderstood; I thought you meant it was mentioned in the text, so I was just rereading the page over and over again. That could be glass, but in Oblivion glass has a lot more, well.. glass. Doesn't mean they haven't redesigned it though since really, only the pointy bits need to be glass.

Side note, whatever that armour is that the guy is wearing (guy with the possible glass morning star) looks awesome. I want. I wonder if that's the new version of iron or steel. Yknow, I think that's the same guy I thought (and kind of still think) was/is an Argonian on page 49.


To people without the magazine: sorry we're talking about this stuff you won't get at all. I'd totally buy you all copies of the magazine if I could.

not really a specific armor but im hoping they bring back the shoulder parts being seperate from the chest piece, my orc in morrowind wore a leather breastplate, pants, and leather boots and bracers. personally i thought it looked cool as hell and would love to be able to do that look again.

The armors from Bloodmoon will most likely be brought back.

Probably not. Betheda has been moving in an opposite direction for a while, I just hope it's not one-piece like fallout.

I never completely settled on which armour I liked best in Oblivion, what ever comes back I hope you might be able to custom it a bit. Maybe with the smithing coming in this will be possible.

Nordic Chainmail from morrowind. I remember i spent like 2 hours trying to kill a guy in Solstheim to get it.

Though all my favorite armors are all from morrowind. I really enjoyed morrowinds art style (not saying that i didn't like oblivion's, it was just different . From that one screen that was released you can kind of see that the art-style is different; much more grand.

Looking forward to any dragon armor that is introduced, wait anyone remember dragonscale ?

Are you sure that is the elven on page 49? It might be the Akatosh Armor, but you may be right.

mythril, Lur, Leather, Steel, elvish?, dwemer?

I hope they bring back all the oblivion armors and some of the armors from morrowind (but without adding the medium armor category)

"For a while"? You mean in their one ES game since Morrowind? Fallout is a different universe, and will be treated differently. I'm not saying I firmly believe that pauldrons will return, though it would be cool, I just don't feel that Oblivion is enough of a precedent to make a statement like that. Fallout 3 was made by Bethesda yes, but I think they know how to keep their franchises separate. Don't forget that New Vegas wasn't developed by Bethesda.

I borrowed a friend's Game Informer magazine a few days ago, and I was looking at the screenshots (of course). It looked like (what I assumed was) the player character was wearing a similar set of armor through all the screenshots - the horned helmet and the armor with it, but there was one screenshot where the character was wearing all armor except for a chest piece, and some cloth or leather pieces were in its place, forming an "x" shape. (Am I remembering this correctly?) If this is the case, then I see this as evidence that we will not be stuck with one-piece armor sets, but we will keep individual pieces of armor.

I never liked any one set of armor on its own.
You need to layer armor to make it look good.

I'd like to see a new dragon themed armor, not the 3 piece dragonscale we had in morrowind though ( i almost cried when i found out it wasnt a complete set) something scaly, something shiny ( not to shiny) something really REALLY heavy, like always : D
