I just completed the main quest after giving the totem to the King of Worms. According to the UESP, I should get lots of reputation from various guilds and so forth. But that doesn't seem to be the case, as I'm not going up in rank in the Akatosh temple. I used a save-game editor that lets you see reputation with different regions and guilds and, surely enough, my reputations didn't change at all between my older saved games and my post-MQ save. Is that a bug?

It is probably on of the many glitches of the vast, and glitchful world of Oblivion. Downloading both the Official and Unofficial Oblivion patches can fix many of the major Oblivion glitches. Playing on the PC gets really difficult for those of us who desire to finish the Thieves Guild quests.

If you open the consule with ~ and type in "setstage MG18KingofWorms 30" it may help your problem.

Oblivion Patches probably won't work, seeing as this is the Dagerfall Section.

The King of Worms was a Main Quest Character in Daggerfall, he made his Second Appearance in Oblivion.

@ Makatak212: Sorry, not a lot of people have played Daggerfall, are still playing it, or those that do, rarely frequent the Forums.
